It's pretty late to start lookign for a summer job eh? Fast food restaurants are that bad. At first I said I was never going to work with food but look at me now. I'm a god damn manager at burger king. Easy friggin' work.

grocery store is a solid summer job. they are always looking for summer help. it's nice if you can get into the dairy or frozen department. it's a nice relief during hot summer days

Well, I'm about two weeks away from summer vacation (thank god..), and it's time to look for a job.

I'm 16, now, so there are more oppurtunities than when I was 15.

I just applied online for Best Buy (since it's, like, a three minute car ride from my house), and I'm hoping I get accepted. [-o<

If not, though, I still need to apply other places. Any ideas?

(I prefer not to work at a fast-food resteraunt.)

This is going to be my first "extended summer" in many years due to graduation and certainly my last one for years to come, so I am sure as heck not working, but much rather try to enjoy every single bit of my free time.

Which makes me wonder how the heck it went from being the big loser of WW2 to the biggest economy in Europe and third biggest in the world. Where the heck did those $2.9T come from?


Thing is, as a student and would-be scholar, the idea isn't necessarily unappealing to me. I hate it when people dismiss the fact that I opt to study for 6-10 hrs a da on my own, as if I'm joking, or as if that's not "real" work.

Germany got a new start after WW2, so in the end, the World War had an advantage to Germany, in a macabre way. Germany could restart from the very beginning and re-build the entire nation. It was an economic miracle. Had a lot to do with the very young population (average age in the 60s was about 30-35) and the high birth rate.

That's one of the ironies of the War. Germany and Japan totally left the UK and France biting the dust. In fact, Japan's economy is bigger than France's and the UK's combined. Heh.

Japan got the best deal out of the whole thing. I mean if someone thinks back to WW II most just think of Germany. No one thinks of Japan and all the stuff they did in China. They avoided the blame...

Why don't you volunteer at a Planned Parenthood and learn what real hardship and tough decisions are, so that when you actually die you've done a little penance for your April Fool's "Joke"
