What is your opinion of open versus closed caskets? I can't stand the idea of an open casket, dead bodies are gross.

It's a horrible thing to contemplate, but I would prefer to be cremated. A closed casket. And I will not be an organ donor either.

That doesn't really answer the thread question.

Cremated and scattered with no formal "on-display" service.

Even if you are cremated, you still have a casket. They don't just throw your body into the furnace.

Well, we tried that practice over here about 70-75 years ago...

Too soon.

I don't think I've ever been to a close casket. Only one Urn. the 30 or so I've been too always open. I think unless something really bad happened to your face that was unfixable by the mortician, I think it's at least a better way to say goodbye to the actual person.

Surprising "Funeral Crashers" wasn't put in production as a sequel to Wedding Crashers. You'd say it allows for a total upping of the jokes. Why didn't they even ever make a sequel to Wedding Crashers yet it odd too though.

It was a smart decision in retrospect. It would have done similar to Ted 2.

Then I would want the absolute cheapest pine-box option. Is a cardboard container legal in the U.S.? I find the funeral industry vulgar, with its Cadillac coffins and chintzy, scripture-quoting cards and general air of, "The more you cared, the more you should pay for a spectacle."

Post subject:  Re: Caskets

It's weird because a straw coffin is actually more expensive than a pine coffin. I was surprised at finding this out.

At least. 19 family, 15 friends, 4 colleagues. All I kind think of right now
