Umm, anyone ever tried it?

I brought back a bottle (190-proof) from the US six year ago and kept it for, uh, a special occasion. Tomorrow is my big 30th birthday party with 50+ guests and I thought it's the time to open it up.

I do have some slight reservations, though, because it is 190-proof. I have had more than enough alcohol in my life, but nothing that went above 160-proof and that shit was pretty bad already. So I was wondering if anyone ever drank a shot of that straight and what I am in for.

make yourself a flaming doctor pepper with it. you'll drink a bunch cause it taste just like the real deal. you'll pass out in the restroom floor. someone will have to damn near break the door to get in cause you're blocking it. they'll have to carry your ass past everyone and drop you on the couch. party will go on without you. you'll wake up next morning not remembering a thing. you'll never drink it again.

Back in the 80s they were popular to use as fruity punch drinks for parties of 30-40. Take a 44 gallon trash can fill it with fruit punch and 20 fresh lemons, limes, and oranges. Usually you would fill it up to around 35 gallons (125-135 liters). Add one fifth (750ml) of Everclear to the punch. Everyone has a drink. Then continue to add another fifth after every drink until you are buzzed, drunk, wake up in a field or on the floor. Usually between 6-10 drinks was as far as I could ever go. 6 was almost always a great time. Even 10 was fun, but too much of a good thing. I would not recommend anything beyond 4-6, and 6 is probably unhealthy, but if a one time thing yolo.

Don't drink more than 1 shot. It catches up fast, burns, and smells like rubbing alcohol.

I never heard of anyone saving everclear for years. It's more of a "ughh let me do this once" kind of drink. Can you get an ice luge, and cut it with as much punch as you can. Of the three times I've had it, that was the most manageable. Face was too cold to care.

Miraculously alive. Had three shots of it, straight. Actually found more than a dozen poor souls who agreed to drink it as well. But damn...
