Pre-orders are up for $600 US. For me that is #yikes and I don't have a good enough PC anyways. So its Morpheus (hopefully at $300) or bust for me. I know some of you have pretty good rigs and wouldn't sweat the six hundy all that much though. Is there a demand and what are you most excited to use it for? |

If money were no object, I would be more interested in the Microsoft HoloLens. Augmented Reality. But that would depend on whether the Hololens can also mask out the room and replace it with the same immersion as VR offers. Backgrounds and such. It could be interesting to play a "Resident Evil" where the zombies and ghouls appear to be present and active within the walls of my own home. |

Never heard of it before. It looks super funky on your head. I don't have a power PC. It's way expensive. I'm still good with my XBOX 360, and if I were to invest in gaming, I'd go for the One. Couldn't tell you what's the appeal of VR. |

Porn will certainly be awesome. I also think this could be a huge boom for nature documentaries and stuff like that. Imagine being right there in the jungle or the deep sea. |

So it is $600 and you will probably need a $1000 computer to use it with....and are there currently any games/software that it COULD be used with? Or is all of that in-built? Seems like a waste of money to me. The price will obviously drop - all new tech things start off expensive. |

From what i read its not just $600 for the rift but you also need a high end pc. Its to expensive for me. |
