Grapes, apples, strawberries etc..

In the UK, I do not.

In China, I do.

I've never been sick from eating unwashed fruit.

What's your opinion?

Wash it everywhere...
Grew up with the fruit getting washed so just following course, not giving it much thought.
I imagine the fruit in the UK is of better quality than in China, but the washing is not going to make much of a difference. Mainly the air in China is crap, so I think you get some dust off, that wouldn't be there in the UK.

I wash my fruit (grapes, apples, strawberries, raspberries, ect), but in very cold water because I like to give it a cold bite, nothing to do with cleaning the fruit for me, lots of fruits just hangin round wild here in AK.

Yes I wash fruit as well. From pesticide residue to general dirt to people touching the fruit and putting it back in the fruit shop/supermarket - you just never know what's on the skin so it certainly doesn't hurt to wash.

The ones you peel do not have to be washed. Oranges. Bananas. The ones you cut should be washed because if you cut an item through like cantaloupe and there was bacteria on the shell then you just infected the whole cantaloupe. Always wash open fruit like strawberries and grapes.

Interesting, although I never do that. Pretty sure nobody else does either.

Of course you wash a lot of fruits, vegetables too. Think of all people that handle them at the store, someone sick coughing on it, etc.. I think it's one of the first things you learn growing up.

A mooooving experience. Not a lot of horsing around. A good opportunity to be sheepish. Not to mention being able to chicken out freely. And of course once dinnertime comes, it's a real chance to pig out.
