So I have the week off and Im bored. I've read several books and watched way too much TV for my liking (maybe a full hour in total). My family is in upstate New York while Im stuck in Connecticut going crazy. Years ago, I was in a similar boat and heard everyone on hear hyping Five Guys (this was pre-expansion) so I made the trek to check them out. I liked them but nothing amazing (Jakes hamburgers in Delaware >>>) So I have decided that on Saturday, Im going to go try the best pizza in the USA. I'll just fly wherever, eat, and...idk. Where should I go? I've had one of the famous "greats" in Frank Pepe's, which is good but IMO nothing Nolan-esque amazing. Seriously folks. Where should I go? |

You're seriously just gonna travel fuck all in the U.S. to go have pizza? My favorite pizza is Chicago deep dish but that's not everyone's taste. |

If you do end up there get the crab pizza. |

It depends on the style you like. In General NYC, NJ and philly ( and other parts of PA) have the best bulk of great different styles. Then it's all subjective. Some of the best pizza. Most states have at least one great spot. |

I wouldn't fly either, you might as well search for a pizza crawl in NYC and drive to it. Have 10 slices over the day from different spots |

I thought generally speaking that Chicago deep dish somewhere is considered the "best" pizza if you are looking for true deep dish pizza. |

Pfft, flying around the US for the best pizza is child's play. Flying around the world, now that's admirable. |

Best pizza I've had is Pizzeria Bianco here in Phoenix, but obviously that's because I haven't tried many other states pizzas. As far as in NY, I prefer Grimaldi's under the Brooklyn Bridge. In Portland, Apizza Scholls. |

Just went to BMore and tried Matthews pizza. I was really let down but oh well. I didnt realize it was really just like a dive hole in the wall type place. The pizza was fine but nothing amazing. I coaxed a buddy into going with me so we had an enjoyable time anyway. We didnt even fly either, guy wanted to drive. |

I cannot believe you drove to Baltimore to eat that pizza. I told you it wasn't worth it! I hope you at least got the crab pizza or ate crab in some capacity, because why else would you go to Baltimore for food. |
