I read a confessional article from a former Internet troll and it was pretty interesting. His life was pathetic, so he (and his friends) just tried to piss people off and bully them to get some laughs. This place doesn't have any trolls, actually. It just has normal people, and when 30 or so normal people from different walks of life discuss a broad range of topics, there is bound to be large differences of opinion and varying ways of expression. Doesn't mean people are trolls because they have an opinion. All WOKJ is guilty of is some posters try too hard to be seen as unique. But that is not trolling. I mean, the entire western culture is founded on people trying t be unique, does that mean they are all trolls? Nope. The term troll gets used a lot here just because most people are dumb and do not know what it really means and also because they just want to quickly dismiss opinions they disagree with rather than have an open debate.

It's no different than a confessional from that paedophile. Did you read that? We've been in that stage for a few years now. People speaking out about their taboo/unique psychological states and we're supposed to "accept" them (but most of us a reading with an air of intrigue and hatred).

Being an internet troll is a taboo subject? New to me. It is exactly the opposite of that pedophile article, mainly because there is no importance to that troll one way or another. Nothing particularly noteworthy.

Internet trolls can really hurt people, dude. You're obviously unfamiliar with what a real Internet troll is if you're taking that stance. If I were you, I would not use WOKJ as your basis for understanding what a troll is.

Internet trolls can hurt vulnerable people, yes, of course. But giving them a special status seems a way to legitimize them as something.
