My guess is that few members of the board own firearms, but I am curious nonetheless. I am thinking of purchasing a shotgun for shooting skeet, which is pretty fun. I don't want to hunt or feel like I live in a dangerous place and need it for "protection" or anything. Just to go shoot skeet every now and then and shotguns are the only firearms where I do not feel completely ill at ease to be around. I do own a Colt .45. It just sits in a little safe that I purchased for it, and never comes out--in fact, I have always felt kinda scared the two or three times I had to handle it when I have moved, hence it residing in the safe. Typically I feel tremendously nervous whenever I see someone walking around open carry with a pistol since they are very powerful firearms. Mine was custom built and has seminal value to me, not something I bought for protection and I don't handle or ever use it. Thoughts? |

I don't. But if I could, I probably would. I used to have airsoft guns. They fire plastic BBs, but they are 100% accurate and have been known many times to be used in robberies. People couldn't tell. |

One day I might but at the moment I'm good without owning one. I do go to gun ranges with friends who own guns once in a while.
