 HK Movie casting tomorrow I got passed stage one, now it's the face to face casting. It's for a HK pirate movie, apparently with big stars too. I'm going along for the experience really, and don't care if I get rejected. I've never done anything like this before, and given my love for films, I'm excited. Re: HK Movie casting tomorrow Good Luck! I hope you get it. I've done a good amount of TV and 3 movies. The Art of Getting By, Arthur, and the upcoming Amazing Spiderman 2. For tv, 3 episodes of 30 Rock, Gossip Girl, Blue Bloods, White Collar, Good Wife. Recently the Following and SVU. The 3 year gap in between acting when I moved away has been tough getting back into it, but I'm optimistic when I have a little more free time this summer.
I can say depending on the size of production it can range from awesome to terrible. But depends on the scene as well. Either way I'd recommend doing it if you get it. At the very least, it should help you appreciate the amount of time and talent for a a single shot of film. Also you'll definitely meet some interesting people.

Well, this is actually quite funny because the ad was for Middle Easterners or South Americans. I went to the casting with my friends (one Dutch and one Chilean), and me and the Dutch friend got in, but the Chilean didn't. I think that height/handsomeness was more important than nationality on this one. The casting was in English, yes. I am assuming that if it's a pirate movie, their may be some English guards or something in red coats. Or, they might just dirty me up and make me play a pirate. Re: HK Movie casting tomorrow I have two auditions next week. One for the new apatow film, the next for the new Tina fey/ amy poelher film. I'm excited first auditions I'm going for since the following last year. My company is running smoothly now, giving me some time to act again.
I'm not holding out too much hope for Spider-Man. 3 of the 5 scenes I was in featured maryjane. But I'm going to a screening tonight.
