Post subject:  POLAR VORTEX Part 2: Libs shovels some snow

St. Louis is getting as much as 15 inches of snow today which we haven't seen in years. Plus -30 wind chills tonight which have never happened here and I've lived here my whole life. Plus, I've gotta possibly drive in all of it today.

After today though, gonna stay indoors and stay as warm as possible.

Is it odd that there would be snow and cold at this time of year in your northern hemisphere?

We got about 6 inches on Thursday/Friday. Only half of what some areas got or are getting, but is supposed to be between 10 and -10 degrees on Monday/Tuesday.

The actual temperature tonight is supposed to be -7 here with wind chills of -25 to -30. Not too shabby but we aren't getting as much snow here as everyone else which upsets me. I only have a couple inches by house so far but Springfield where I work 30 minutes away might have somewhere between4-6 inches so far. I think I'll be going to my moms later to see if I can get my brothers and my sister to go sledding and snowboarding. Work wont be so fun tomorrow though.

I think Chicago area wind chills were supposed to get down to around -52 at some point. My parents lived there when the wind chills -80 before. Crazy.

It's really, really f'ing cold outside. I got in from a run and collapsed in front of the fireplace for about 45 minutes before showering.

This resembles the plot trajectory of Magnus' seventh favorite pornographic video.

But with a curvaceous and sexy female, not that Libs thing.

Algren can you stop please? I'm tired of bickering with you. Let's call it a day.

I'm currently reading a Buzzfeed article mocking the legions of people who have burned themselves in the last day or two trying to throw boiling water in the air and watch it freeze. Sounds about right.

This is why if you don't like snow, you should never live on the east side of a great lake.

Watertown, NY

Lake Effect Snow Warning

Over 2 feet of snow today
10-20 inches of snow tonight
3-6 inches of snow Wedesday
20-30 mph winds

That's crazy.

I threw some boiled water into the air to watch it freeze. Unfortunately it's 70 degrees outside. I'm currently in critical condition at the hospital.

I'm usually someone who doesn't mind "the cold" (like, the normal cold of winter), and even I went to sleep last night in leggings, sweatpants, a hoodie, under 2 comforters and with the space heater blaring all night (the heat in my house sucks).

I also just went to the gym just to go on the treadmill because I can't run outside in this, I CAIN'T.
