 Millennial Generation Is Getting Screwed
Damn, I mean, paying out the ass for nearly worthless college degrees and entering a horrible job market while older politicians wrack up enormous debt on senior entitlements & stimulus bills meant to solve others mistakes, which will not be paid off until said seniors are long dead? So, here is a shit ton of debt from other people and degrees old politicians made worthless, and now here is a horrible job market- best of luck!
Truly feel sorry for them....never even had a chance. They will be the true lost generation.

If your ancestors were in a position to do it, they would have too. Human nature is to be selfish and fuck the rest.

Everybody does. They just don't want to admit it. Philanthropy is against human nature.

Sounds pretty generous to me. Sure, millienials can be selfish, but they're far more selfless than the baby boomers, no way around that one.

Nah dawg, all of those apply to every generation ever. We're talking about it not mattering how hard they work or how smart they are, they will get less - a lot less - for the same efforts as previous generations.

Magnus wrote: Excel wrote: We're talking about it not mattering how hard they work or how smart they are, they will get less - a lot less - for the same efforts as previous generations. that's really not true as of yet. the growing american debt and future outlook of America as a whole may make that come true in the future. But we're not at that stage yet. Repaying the enormous debt is going to come from tax dollars, bro. It is going to severely retard the economy in many ways. Do you not understand? Tax dollars which, today, go to social security, will be going to repaying bills. Resulting in either 1) shittier social security (though this program is merely an example), or 2) even more taxes to get some the same benefits people currently get. It's pretty simple. I am a democrat and these points are usually just dismissed as republican talking points but they're basically right on point here. Something like 40% of total government spending is on borrowed money? It's only getting worse, not better. "Deficit reduction" aka lowering the amount of money we are spending which we don't have is a major political. That in and of itself is hilariously sad. To think that some actually oppose balanced budget amendments..."we need to be able to spend more than we make!". The entire generation of baby boomers have developed a terrible habit of spending money they don't have & isn't theirs (credit). The entire thing is just a mess, and my boy O has sadly just been gasoline on the fire instead of any sort of extinguisher.

There are just too many people my age that believe they'll get everything handed to them and not try anything for themselves. They also think everything in school should be fed to them and they shouldn't have to learn anything (or do anything too complex like research/critical thinking). I had a couple classes this year where students were causing class to be interrupted because they didn't want to memorize simple formulas they will use everyday or a large selection of fairly simple terms, they just wanted a study sheet for it all so it can say they got an A on a test and move on. A lot of people also don't learn for themselves and just take what should be taught in class and barely use it which they'll realize isn't enough when going out into the workforce. Like, bitch take some initiative and stop crying fuckin shit. A lot of millennials just also don't appreciate what is out there. Getting back to my most of them being lazy as fuck, they complain about a lot of my professors being "too smart". When is that a bad thing? I guess they want to be taught in BuzzFeed terms and that mentality is just going to drive the millennial force if not enough people who have the work incentive like I do (I'm active in a few organizations while being president in one, done a few jobs thus far, right around cumulative 4.0, know what I'm doing basically) take a stand to prevent such a change. Then again, I'll just get my degree soon, make my money, and laugh on this later.

Being honest, I love you both, you sound like typical totally off base/uninformed voters completely missing the point. In all seriousness, everything you said is totally irrelevant. You, Jmovies, will keep significantly less of whatever you earn than past generation, and you will get LESS from the government in exchange for your higher taxes. That should infuriate any logically thinking person. You may not be "screwed", but damn you are getting a raw deal relative to every other generation ever outside of the folks of the late 1920s-mid 1940s.

dawg, we ARE millenials. we know what the fuck we're talking about.
And as someone who currently has a job let me say this: I make more money (even taking into account of inflation and whatnot) than almost every adult I know made at this same age. The idea that millenials can't make as much money at this current state is ridiculous. Idk what you make, but surely there is no way on Earth you expect this to be the norm. What you make means nothing. It's how many jobs like that are there? That's the point. Barrack obama can tell ghetto people "you CAN become president!" which is so unlikely that is basically is false, even if in reality it is true. If there are 1 million graduates and 1k high pay jobs...the 1k grads who get those jobs tell the other 999k "look, YOU can make money!". But that obviously isn't the case as there are very few jobs like that. You having a high paying job proves nothing, Magnus. Every millennial could work as hard as you and only a small % would end up in your situation because there are not that many jobs, bro. Again, this should make everybody furious. The system is bizarre it's maddening. I used the unaware because you folks are unaware. The average person who cant benefit from being a minority or coming from a well off family, such as yourself, has it very difficult as is and it will only get worse. Jmovies can work as hard as he wants. He will have had more money & gotten more for that same money ad he been born before 1990.

Re: Millennial Generation Is Getting Screwed
The economy may be rough but the amount of emotionally healthy young people is still high. I think the next generation after this one, could get really fucked up psychologically. Millennials will make horrible parents because major self-esteem/insecurity/disconnect issues the internet era brings will make the kids required to support the parent with love not the opposite.
Japan's social anxiety/withdrawal/no sex problem with under 30 people right now, is a sign of the future for everyone else IMO.
