Because it is always good to have male and female friends. However, with straight male friends there is always a chance (sometimes small, sometimes big) that the person would be interested in you in another way or the other way around. Gay men are therefore "safe". That is a generalized answer to a very generalizing question. |

So it's because they know the gay man will not try and sleep with them? Do they share similar hobbies? or likes (besides the obvious)? It seems odd that they cannot have the same relationship with a trusting hetero. |
