I have a question though: With the Players keeping track of their hit points, isn't it difficult to determine who dies during large scale battles? What if one player for instance says they still had 10 HP left and their opponent counted differently? I can imagine a disagreement escalating quickly among some players what with them being so committed to the game and all.

Someone who never seems to die gets noticed after a while. Peer pressure helps a lot, but people aren't as committed to the game in that sense.
