My girlfriend is French, so we're visiting her sister and the sister's fiance in Paris for four days and then it's off to the Normandy, visiting her family.

I assume this is a very high degree of being spoiled when visiting Paris becoming nothing particularly special (though I still loike the city, of course) because you've done it three times last year.
