So we are VERY slow at work (have been for about the past month) I work in the mortgage business so I am attributing to the rates increasing. Anywho...I am bored so entertain me?

Snap, I work in mortgages as well! And we've been EXTREMELY slow for about the same time period.

I work at Bank of America. Only been here for about 5 months. I work with processors and just send out opening packages for home refinances. I'd like to eventually move up to be an underwriter.

Why not aim higher, like an overwriter?

We deal with mostly refinances as well.

But my friend used to work in underwriting here and then went to Quicken and is now making 50K PLUS bonuses. I'm jealous.

 Re: Bored at work...
Not that I know of. I'm fairly certain they're all still on hourly, because we all get talked to about overtime on a regular basis, lol.

Technically I'm "middle class", but my take home pay is "working class". But hey, at least I'm not in poverty anymore!

I wish I could just make it to Middle Middle Class. I could live very comfortably on that.

Less problems!
That's a rich person saying. Try living with poor person problems.

 Re: Bored at work...
I just finished booking everything for my California trip and I've paid roughly $1,000 (slightly less) between airfare/hotel/car rentals for 4 days. I guess that's not atrocious considering I'm traveling cross country.

Though you're still gonna need to add gas and food, which will be probably a couple hundred more. Sure but that's expected. I saved money by doing that hotel thing where you book early and pay all upfront. Which is annoying now but it'll ultimately save me like $140. And my cheap ass got an economy rental car. The only thing is that I really wanted to fly Virgin America because everyone always talks about how fun it is (it would have left from Dulles), but I got a slightly better price flying Delta nonstop out of Reagan which is much more centrally located to where I live. Oh well.

I pretty much only travel if I can either drive there or have a place to stay at or have my parents come with me so they pay for everything. I tend to do the same, however the wife. kids and I are going to attempt to make this Ireland trip happen. If not I'm thinking a trip south would be fun (I live in KY)

I'm taking a solo vacay to L.A. in mid-September. Thursday-Monday so a long weekend basically. Where would you go in Ireland? I studied abroad in Dublin for a semester. The whole country is just gorgeous and so much fun.
