I may sound like I'm just ranting and complaining too much but I think Facebook Home is going to contribute itself to more habits than good ones. The concept isn't bad but the fact that it is now demand speaks badly overall I believe. I had posted this in the Pet Peeves thread a while back, but one of my biggest peeves is how people feel the need to be attached to their phones while they are out with others, particularly at a dinner. The attachment to the phone all of the time just makes no sense to me particularly when you are already hanging out with someone. I can understand the need to use a smartphone if it involves something with work but I've barely run into that situation with people so far. I'm in the prime group of this peeve (I'm 20), but the fact that I can't even sit in a classroom without these annoyances occurring from my fellow peers bothers me even more. Which brings me to why Facebook Home is just a bad idea in general. Are we really as a society so conformed to needing to know everything that happens in people's lives that we can't even wait an extra second to unlock our phones to find out what everyone is doing? Just enjoy the moment that you are in with the people you are with then. Endure the education you are paying for and gain something from the day. Facebook isn't going anywhere, and it'll be there when you get home. I have a feeling this is just the start of a technological/social integration that is just going to have negative effects in the end. |

Agreed on each point. |

Agreed too. I loathe this social-media-obsessed culture that has been created over the last few years, and the small technological tool obsessions as well. While I don't know what the hell Facebook Home is, it doesn't sound good. |

Zuckerberg essentially says "Yeah it's OK to be distracted by your phone/Facebook at dinner" http://finance.yahoo.com/news/mark-zuck ... 33196.html |

Zuckerberg's a greedy, motherfucking cunt. He's intent on ruining the world to make a name for himself. |

That has nothing to do with Facebook Home, though. That's a phone issue. jmovies hates phones. |

Any app encourages it. Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, Pinterest, etc... |
