Don't tell me about heat. It's been nothing but fing 100 day after day in Oklahoma. This is the worst summertime weather in a few years that I can recall. That's even when I was driving with no AC 1 year. Electric bill was over 143 last month and I dread the next bill. I'm just glad this so called heat wave is moving east cuz I can't stand it!

See that 104 on southwest Missouri in the Heat Index map? Yeah, I live right where the 4 is. It was a chore just walking down half a block to grab some lunch at Hardees. Not looking forward to walking all the way downtown to go see Hamlet vs Zombies tonight.

We've been discussing the low attendance numbers for Silver Dollar City over on the SDCFans forum, and I wouldn't be surprised if the main factor has been the heat. We've had very little rain here in the Springfield/Branson area, coupled with these insane temps. Our a/c has been on all day, and yet it's still warm in here. Ugh. We can't even drink the water 'cause it's coming out of the cold tap as warm. Yuck.
