Loyal was nice when I met him, but my impression of him after 5 years is that he has become a fucking snob and acts as though he's better than everyone, like LIBS, both himself and that goofy website of his.. Dude, I've had people talk shit about me on these forums for YEARS. I stopped getting upset, and since then I've been able to make posts with only the rare sarcastic comment. I've never once posted on this other forum, so why would I care what those assholes say?

This is just a movie forum. There's a whole big world outside, with real people and real issues that people would be wise to work a lot harder to fix. Getting twisted about what someone else says about you on the internet is stupid. It's pointless. And protesting over someone else's insults just makes you look worse.

Now that said, I'm all for box office clubs! I'm all for microscopic analysis - this is my hobby, so I love to read Shawn and xiayun's posts! And I'm all for calling out the sorry state of the box office, because ever since Libs, you, myself, and plenty of other posters have been watching it, there's been an undeniable decline in attendance and grosses.

But what I'm not for is people acting stalkerish and obsessive about other posters. And I'm sorry BKB, but this thread demonstrates that you (and not just you) are putting way too much weight on what another poster here says. The fact that Libs is a woman makes it look even worse. I don't like seeing anyone on here, be it you or her, being picked on en masse. I've been there, and it made me absolutely fucking loathe some people.

So please buddy, just IGNORE Libs, put her on your ignore list if you need to, and help make this place a little bit more fun.

filmgasm is more like a chat room between like 5-6 people who don't like KJ at all + Libs, who gets along with those 5-6 really well, but still likes a few people here (but mostly, this site actually has activity outside of their "water cooler" - their water cooler is poppin' but the other sections are completely dead). I don't see any problem with her posting in both forums considering that she's getting the best of both worlds. Personally, I don't care for every thread over there turning into a pointless conversation three posts in ("I can't believe the Casey Anthony decision! P.S. what did you have for lunch Christian"), which is pretty much why I don't post there, but I do like some of the people that post there (Libs, Christian and loyal, I think that's it).

The whole thing about people overreacting about the box-office, though? I'm with BKB on that one. Relax. People's reactions to the numbers are a roller coaster of emotion, but who cares? And just because a film is making lots of money in general doesn't mean that it's not disappointing. No one likes a 100%-"Debby Downer" like, say, the writers at BOM, but at the same time, people here keep it real, too. Nor do I think anyone should be given "credit" for saying that we should wait and see what happens, lol. Because there are plenty of times that a movie has a disappointing opening day...and it doesn't get any better after that.
