 Blind or Deaf?
It really must be horrible to have to deal with either of the afflictions, but it does pose an interesting question. What would you consider the worse of the two?
For me personally, I could survive being blind, but not deaf , because music is my livelihood. I don't know how I could handle not being about to hear it anymore. I do think the the world is easier to get by in if you have sight, because you could at least be like everyone else on the internet if you are deaf in the real world , and you can still watch movies while using subtitles, and just get around a lot better, but how lonely would the world be if you couldn't even hear the birds singing?

I'd rather be deaf. That way I wouldn't have to give up the Internet, movies, books, and so forth. But I'd sorely miss music, god yes.

Deaf. The world is too beautiful for me to endure darkness. I've become too dependent on visual things such as Internet, movies, and traveling around the world. I'll miss the sound terribly for sure though.

Deaf. I could never live without being able to see the world, but of course I would miss music.

I would definitely rather be deaf. At least being deaf I will be able to watch movies with subtitles, and television, and read books, and do on the internet. I couldn't stand being blind, it would be much too depressing. Although, music is a major part of my life I would have to sacrifice it, and I would like to watch my grandchildren grow up, and at least get one good look at the world before I die. I think being in total darkness would make me very sad, and I would want to be dead because of it.

Blindness is worse, definitely. The world is too beautiful for me to miss it.

You're so negative :-((((
I would HATEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE to lose any one. My senses are one of the things I'm definitely thankful for, and don't want to take for granted.
And I'm not answering your question for fear one of my sense gets mad cause I preferred the other and abandons me.

Kelley has said pretty much the same to me when I asked her this very question.

Neither , Really? Interesting choice.
And also I would rather be rich than poor.
And in love than not in love.
But that is just me.

Deaf, it's not even close for me. I couldn't live without the ability to watch movies.
Since Chris is getting her Masters in Speech Path, she's knee deep into ASL. I could easily learn to communicate thanks to her. And I already know a few signs.
