Russian version, for balance I personally hate it when they translate the original songs (and they do it most of the time for animated films). |

I laughed. I laughed pretty hard. Thank you Corpse. Of course I speak Croatian. I don't like our dubbed versions of movies at all. It would make more sense if you posted videos of songs. BTW this is one of the most random threads I've ever seen here. |

Croatian music has been godawful recently. The only album I enjoyed from last year was "Pronađi put" from Natali Dizdar. The standout tracks being Ne pitaj i Stranac IMHO. I really like her lyrics. Natali Dizdar - Ne pitaj Natali Dizdar - Stranac Probably the most un-Croatian song produced here in the last decade is Treblebass from Svadbass. And "La La", the album that features that song is very good too. Svadbas - Treblebass Jinx used to be good back in their day (that was a decade ago). Their comeback album "Na zapadu" was OK, but not really that good. I still don't think they ever toppled their debut single Smijem se which comes with a very low budget but very funny video. Jinx - Smijem se Then there's TBF. They really hit the home run with the lyrics. But I don't think those who don't understand will like them. TBF - Smak svita TBF - Nostalgična Then there's Hladno pivo. They're crazy. And again really great with lyrics. Hladno pivo - Zimmer Frei Hladno pivo & Ivanka Mazurkijević - Dolje je bolje I'm really flying blind here as I have no idea what kind of music you like so I'm just shooting out the some of the more acclaimed acts recently, both critically and commercially (not all of them would be my personal picks). Our pop has been awful since the early 90's when we started to mimic global music, so rock/alternative is the least influenced music here. I personally love the pop of the 80's but I grew up listening to that so maybe it's only nostalgia. Whatever it is, I think we never matched quality of those songs, but the "problem" with them is that they're very Mediterranean so I don't think you'd like that, but if you want I can link those too. |

Well, my two favorite genres are Symphonic Metal, and Jpop, I'll check out the songs you posted and tell you what I think in a bit. |
