As you may know, my wife makes art out of dryer lint. Seriously, it sells at galleries and she makes good money doing so. (see http://heidihooper.com) She looked over my shoulder once when I was here and said "Hey, that's a great picture!" and had me print out Tony's avatar. Here she is working on her latest piece:

Lets be glad she did not see Jim Halpert's sig and make a picture out of it! Pretty cool piece. |

And, believe it or not, she has fans who have bought her work all over the country who actually send her lint when they get something colorful. |

I've been to art galleries all over the world (the wife is an art teacher), and I must say that's one of the finest works I have ever seen. Amazing that she can do so well with dryer lint, when I can't even draw with traditional art tools. It looks pretty close to the original pic:  My dog will be happy that she touched it up by taking out the spit and grass on his ginormous tongue. He's pretty vain. |

We're taking it to the Lunacon science fiction convention in NY this weekend where she's a guest artist and doing a slideshow of her work. I'll let you know if it sells! |

Heidi entered eight dryer lint pieces in the Art Show competition at the Lunacon Science Fiction convention this past weekend (where she was a guest artist and did a slide show of her work) and of all the new work, "Tony's Dog" was the one that won the "Judge's Choice" ribbon!
