When im in Nightclubs or Pubs, i find it really easy to talk to people (primarily lady-friends  ) when im under the influence of alcohol, but not so easy when im sober/havent had any drink, can you people understand why? ie. help me? Does this happen to you? I find it odd. |

Well, it's easily explainable and trust me you're not the only one. Alcohol loosens people, takes the people the insecurities and inhibitions they have which makes it easier to become social with people. Alcohol allows the people to be "themselves" around anyone. Which doesn't make alcohol the best thing to do so, though ![]() |

When you're sober, you might find it difficult talking to women because you're scared of embarrassing yourself. When you're drunk, you have no no problem talking to women because you have no problem with embarrassing yourself. The irony is you're more likely to embarrass yourself drunk than you are sober. |

I tend to get way too drunk when im out - im trying the "nights in " approach for a while ![]() But since i trashed someones house while blittered i felt really bad and have layed way off the cheap vodka. And its an understatement to say i loosen up when im drunk ![]() Algren - the kind of company your around can definately impact the way you act, if your around "Chavvy" or "neddy" storts then your likely to find it tougher to be yourself because Chavs do seem to make people in my local quite intimidated for some reason. I have friendly nights out with cool people [usually most are high] in quieter nightspots, maybe you should try going out to a different kind of place - where things are more intimate. |

It is corny, but you have to just be yourself. As Lecter said ... alcohol loosens you up, I wouldnt go as far as saying takes away insecurities .. but it deffinatly helps take the edge off and kill the nerves, thus allowing you to be yourself more. If you are just 'buzzed' you may find that you are just simply not as nervous and able to be loose and have more fun. To get this effect without alcohol you need to be confident, loose, and comftorable with yourself. |

I do the robot every time I get drunk, and I always think I'm the bomb... until I wake up the next morning, cringe, text everyone I know to apologise and throw up. It's enough to make you want to quit drinking. ... *does the robot* |

I usually wreck the cd player, fling out whatever albums in it [scratching the disc in the process] and put on some shit that NO one wants to hear before dancing wildly..... Come on, Dance wildly, Ill invite Ellen, shes a madcap kinda gal!!!! ![]() "Hi, im Ellen, Im a madcap kinda gal." |

Drinking parties are the best. No better way to have a one night stand (minus the actual sex, plus the third base ![]() |

Usually it's Oingo Boingo or Men Without Hats. Any other time I'm a dignified fop who listens to the likes of Nick Cave and Tom Waits, but when I'm drunk - can't get enough of those crazy 80s beats! Ever notice how Ellen constantly looks like she's about to OD on something? |

I used to love Ellen! It was a damn good sitcom until she came out of the closet and ceased to say anything funny even by accident. |
