He is probably gay because if he cant get a girl with those facial features at his school then he most probably is gay and his mom can't accept it.

I got it Rod. Hehe...you've been tweaking that self-depracatory humor to perfection as of late.

You know what? I'm gonna put it out there that its not him its his mother..and it reminds me waaaaay too much of when I was young. Aside from "dating" *snicker* one guy in 8th grade, I didn't go on a single date or get a single smooch in highschool. My mom freaked. Whenever we went to a party or wanted to hold one she'd beg us (my twin and I) to invite boys. We wanted to have a New Years sleepover party once and just invite some close friend girls (hey..it was a sleepover afterall right) and she got mad we didn't invite any guys. Then she made a "deal" with us that she'd let us have the sleepover party if we promised to invite guys to the next party we had.

I'm still theorizing on the dual nature of parenting teenagers. Seriously, I can't tell if it was generational and that people in my parents generation were already dating pretty seriously or getting married by their late teens or what? Maybe moms are living vicariously through their kids sex lives? I have no freaking idea, but this kid is probably going to be playing the field just like I did by the time he's 20 and then his mom will worry that he is dating instead of not dating! Its a lose/lose situation if you ask me.

If it really is his mom, it's kind of scary. She's like "he's got a six-pack too!". [-X

I can;'t comment on the post belwo me now can i : )

@Dolce: True. They are dual in some ways. While I do not know what the reasoning might be here (kids not turning out gay?), i know with my parents, and coming from a very conservative family, it all boiled down to marriage. The son should have lots of girls, and in my parent's case, going out was cool till one of us actually do. At that point, its still fine but the 24 hour survelience begins. Even now. I mean my parents know i'm out all the time and stuff but i make sure if theyre around and so if Rahm, i keep the door open if i'm in the room, i dont get close to her at all, physical contact unless neccessary is a big no no, though they never come out and say it but you can just tell : )

Ofcourse, there are those parents i've come across where if a girl calls up, people flip.

And we're guys!! With girls, it gets worse. My mom was still cool with my sister though. She was happy and encouraged her going out (after a certain age) but once she did, those 2 could not go anywhere unless friends were going out too. Fun fun fun. thank you for making my parents more liberal than the average family : )
