Ok...I really want one of these....I will bet Torrino will want one as well.... Dolce, makeshift, mike....cmon buy em!!! Quote: NEW YORK - After spending 10 days in London with friends who were outspoken about their disdain for President Bush (news - web sites)'s policies, Berns Rothchild came home wishing she had a way to show the world she didn't vote for him. AP Photo AP Photo Slideshow: Charitable Bracelets Show Support "I sort of felt ashamed, and didn't really want to be associated with being an American," said Rothchild, who lives in New York City and voted for John Kerry (news - web sites). Her mother had a suggestion: bracelets, inspired by the Lance Armstrong Foundation's popular "LIVESTRONG" bands, that would signal opposition to Bush. Thousands of miles away, two women in Idaho had the same idea. So did a woman in Kansas. The result? At least three separate bracelet ventures targeting left-leaning citizens who want to wear their political affiliation on their wrists  and at least one competitor bearing the opposite message Here is the website http://www.countmeblue.com/ |

Oh, so they've got only blue ones, eh? Personally, I prefer the centrist one, purple. Now, some might think that's the ultra-;iberal one, but that's not true, na-nah [-X |

YES! I...do! I don't like the rubber-jelly bracelets (And I find it immensely hypocritical when you find people smoking with a yellow Livestrong bracelet on their wrist. It just proves it's a fashion statement) but this is one I WOULD wear. Only problem is...I don't want a pack of 10. =/ |

lovemerox wrote: Well what is it? It's centrist. Red + Blue = Purple. It's such a gay colour, you know, full of happy connotations and all. There's nothing queer about it, at all. Just a happy, gay colour. Oh, and people, you mgiht notice I spell 'colour' with an 'u', not like the American 'color'. [-X |

Plus, you'd prob. try and sneak in some drugs as to eradicate me from the boards (and life) so you wouldn't have to deal with my anti-smoking propaganda ![]() |

The centrist one should be white, not purple, despite the whole blue plus red thing. White just seems more fitting for centrist. |

What the hell are bracelets going to do? "I oppose Bush, therefore I'll wear a cool bracelet that shows my opposition for him! THEY ARE SO COOL that in four years, Bush will no longer be president of the United States." Jesus, get over it already. I hate Bush too, but he's going to be president for four more years, live with it for Christ's sake. |

You know, I re-read this again, and it's even dumber than I thought. It's to show she didn't vote for Kerry, because God forbid, someone come up to her on the street and hassle her for voting for Bush. That's like a guy putting an "I'm Not Gay" t-shirt on. You know... in case girls thought he was gay, when he really wasn't. It sounds stupid (my comparison), but think about it, and it's not a lot different. You don't need to show people you voted one way. Isn't voting supposed to be secret anyway? |

I think this is a big waste of money, what is wearing these bracelets going to accomplish? Bush is already president. I would've bought one before the election, but now that it is over, they really serve no purpose. |

"What exactly are you representing?" Fiscally conservative (except in healthcare and social security) and socially liberal views. And Pink is right, it won't really accomplish anything now. |
