Those probably aren't rocks per se. It is assumed that they are blocks of ice.

Titan is -290 degrees and 1000 times darker than Earth's. Well, Titan is considered to resemble early Earth (I guess) and Its fun to think how many movies and books address ths moon in particular. Something about Space is always a bit fascinating, and I wish I was alice when "Man first stepped on the moon (tm)" To see it televised. Exciting even though space exploration feels common place by now. There's always an element of newness ever meter further out. Anyone got more pics?

I can read typos very well, so I know what you meant, but that's kinda funny. I was alive when we first walked on the moon, but barely, so I have no memory of the experience. I have always had a fascination with space and it's mysteries.

Wow, Titan is -290 degrees? Almost as cold as Canada right now. Brr, it's cold. Oh, and nice... rocks. Do you think that just ONE person involved in this Titan thing feels like a kid on Christmas morning, who just opened his brand new... underwear? I'm sure some poor sap is weeping right now, over not finding something amazing.

I've been waiting for this for so long, I've been following this mission since 1997 when Cassini was launched from Earth. Not only is this one of the biggest things that has happened in space science to date, it also confirms that the European Space Agency is now a major player in global space science. Good job ESA. I had been waiting infront of my computer for well over two hours when the first photo that was taken was published, and I almost shed a tear when I saw it. I felt a great feeling of euphoria. A feat of this kind likely won't be repeated in any of our livetimes. I just can't wait until they publish more photos, especially the high-res ones, which will probably be the last ones the ESA will release.
