 Meet the Mac Mini
http://www.apple.com/macmini/
What do you guys think? I honestly don't see any way Apple can mess this one up. It should fly off the shelves, and convert a lot of PCers. The only downside I can see is it doesn't come with a keyboard, mouse, or monitor. This really isin't that big of a deal, though, since most people already have these things. So, how do you think this will sell? How does it compare with other, similarly priced machines in your opinion?

Isin't Mac OS X better than Windows? Other than compatibility issues, it's far more secure. It looks better, too. \:D/

Like people have said, I'd get it if it weren't a Mac. They're a bitch to use.

How so? I don't know much about the whole Mac vs. PC thing (i've never really used a Mac), but from what i've heard they're easier to use...

I have used both.
I like windows much better.
Its just such less of a hassel, there is much less compatability wise you have to worry about, and i find the way macs do programs to be retarded. It is so odd the way they have everything, I just dont like it, never have.

In my Statesman (the newspaper for the school: That's right, I'm an official film reviewer for a paper now! ) we have to use Macs, and they're a complete bitch. I can never get anything to work.

Well, the way it's set up makes it easier to find chords and other things. More like a laptop, actually.
Plus, the fact that you can get an adapter that'll allow you to hook it up to any TV and use that as a monitor is fairly efficient. Keyboards and mouses are fairly cheap ($30 for both - combined?) and the adapter's probably around $30, so to get hooked up, you'll just need $560. Let's admit - for an efficient computer of that size - the price can't REALLY be beat.

A couple of things.
Mac OS X was indeed a much superior OS - two years ago. Since then Microsoft has done a lot of things to bring itself up, and since the release of Service Pack 2 it is just as secure brand new.
This computer is groundbreaking only because of its size, not its features. You can a PC configured much better than this from eMachines (which has lately cleared up its image and has been producing excellent computers) for about the same price, but it won't be this small. Bottom line is that this Mac is really cool, but I just don't see many PC users switching over.
P.S. You can use two-button mice (not mouses) with Macs without any problem.
