Wtfspambot? ![]() I use a facial cleanser (usually a Clean & Clear one), Zapzyt and a moisturizer with no oil. Works wonders. |

Hmm...Proactiv wrecked my skin. Well, it wasn't Proactiv but another system with the same active ingredients that was available in a retail store. I use a combination of volcanic sulfur soap, oil-reducing facial masks, apricot scrub, and a salicyic acid treatment. |

Some people can't use Benolyn Peroxide because they have sensitive skin. Its surprising that you can't use proactiv and you can use salicyic acids - which are pretty harsh. |

Not so sure about Lush soaps any more. I was breaking out a little before i started using Fresh Farmacy, but it seems to have gotten worse since. Im going to only use it once or twice a week for a bit, until my breakout is gone, instead relying on Proactiv to kill those buggers. It does make your skin super soft, but im not sure that it isnt causing the breakouts. |

Fresh Farmacy is what i think is causing this breakout. It was kind of there before but its gotten worse since. Going to quit using it for a little while and use proactiv until my skins looking better. I also have Angels on Bare Skin , but i think imma wait until the breakouts have cleared before i try it again. Hahaha and as for my skin; before proactiv it looked like a lunar image. My forehead was covered in spots, my chin too and my cheeks. Now I have occasionally gigantic pores on my nose and the odd breakout in my cheeks, I think breakouts are rare but seem to happen when i move to a different water supply - im back home now so i broke out. But i never ever breakout in my forehead any more - until i started with the Lush stuff. Not so sure im happy using it any more. Might give it to my friend who loves the stuff. But my skin certainly is rarely picturesque. It's a bastard and I have to keep an eye on it all the time to stop it being, well, teenage. |

Yeah, if you guys want to help with skin care advice... My pores are too big. I get the occasional zit, but nothing serious (so I'd rather not waste my time with Proactiv, because I know people that have had bad experiences, too). I'm really looking for something pore-specific. Michael, Chip, loyal, other metrosexuals? Any thoughts? I'm currently using two moisturizers (Kiehl's Facial Fuel, and Jergens Natural Glow SPF 20 twice a week), so I'd rather keep it at just facial cleanser/mask/scrub level. Also, I think my shave cream (Colgate. Plain Colgate, as manly as you can buy) was discontinued. I hate shave gels (like Nivea, Edge, Gilette, with all those 1000 chemicals and whatnot). I need a solid shave cream. |

loyalfromlondon wrote: maybe it's stress? i think its probably a combo of the water change, soap and being stuck in my boring room all day since the holiday started and i got no freaking job. I find my skin is crap loads better when im outdoors a lot. Im not really stressed, just underslept. I really want these soaps to work since they cost a bomb, but I'm not going to fuck up my face with them |

Lush seems to work well for the majority of people Torri. I mean, i seem to be in the minority here who have broken out since using the products. Im not a hundred percent its the soaps fault either. but its made my pores tighter and my skin smoother, just brought some lovely spots along to stay too. I'm going back to Proactiv for a while, aside from the rough exfoliator its the best thing ive ever had on my skin, just as long as im consistent with it. I usually use Proactiv when my skins breaking out, and aside from that a SPF mosturiser following a tea tree cleanser. Nothing super harsh . |

I guess I could try something other than the Lush Coalface. Of the products you've used, what's best? I'm not doing proactiv. Again, too many horror stories (and I don't really have acne, anyways, so what'd be the point?). |

Well i like fresh farmacy, but as ive said im pretty sure its contributing to breakouts, makes my skin nice though. Angels on Bare Skin is pretty good too. The Tea Tree cleanser i use, I cant even remember what its called will have to look it up. But its fantastic, very strong scent, works into a lather and washes away and really leaves your skin feeling clean because it has a natural antibacterial agent in it. |

Is the tea tree cleanser from Lush, Michael? Honestly, I don't really feel like going all the way to Georgetown, where parking's impossible, for Lush. When I've never really loved the stuff other than Ocean Salt anyways. |
