~I don't get why so many still are racist, sexist, homophobic, etc. My grandfather is extremely homophobic AND racist, and it's not entirely his fault. But you think after a while, he would realize that skin color, gender, and sexual preference mean nothing, when you're talking about a friend or family member.

~I don't get how I can be a polite, nice young man, who will hold doors for people, ask to help people out, and be generally a guy who will do anything for anyone, and yet the thank you's I get are scarce. Today, I was holding the door for about five people, and I got one thank you. That was from the sixth person, my mother. Two syllables, just as many words... relatively SIMPLE to say. Why can't people say it?

~Why do people never get concerned with death, or a disease, unless it affects the person or someone around them? My girlfriend was going on and on about this guy who got killed by someone who hit him with their car, and I understand the sympathy that anyone will have, but she didn't even know him, she knew the girl who saw everything happen. So, really she felt more sorry for the girl who saw it happen. Either way, people have tendencies to only give a damn when it affects them. Christopher Reeve did tons for people with his same condition, but do you think he would have done anything for that if he didn't become paralyzed? Only sympathy and concern when it affects us.

~"Lock him up and throw away the key!" Common term you here when someone hears about a murderer or criminal. That guy who killed his wife and unborn child. My mother said he should be given the death sentence anyway. There are far worse criminals who get away with far worse crimes, but everyone is happy they caught this one guy. Well, applause for them, but there are still thousands, perhaps millions of criminals who get away with murder all the time.

~And finally, praying. Praying to God, the supposed figure who got us here. I HATE people who pray to God consistently, expecting him to help you out. One of the meanings of life, I believe, are relying on yourself to do what you need to do, not asking God for favors. That's how people break away from Christianity and Catholicism or any religion for that matter. They pray to God for stupid shit, and they don't get it. Praying is meant for the truly sick or dying. You pray for their families, pray for them, and that's how it goes. I know people who are pissed because God won't grant them a miracle for the mess they get themselves in (mostly concerning money). God is NOT meant to solve every single problem everyone has. Never. We're supposed to do it ourselves. Period.

Now, what else do you not understand? I probably started a thread similar, but maybe not. This is not what pisses you off (although most of this stuff does), it's just stuff you don't understand. How people react to things, how they operate, what other stuff goes on, etc. You get the idea.
