I walk 2 miles a day, five days a week... at least

With a backpack on...

Mostly because University parking sucks ass and the parking lot is hella far away

And I pay $75 for 10 months... to park hella far away

Hah, you know it.

Basically, I love the gym. And I try to run at least a mile or two every day before I leave for work. And I swim.

I miss playing lacrosse and field hockey, which I did in high school. Boo.

I was going to the gym about 4 times a week for a few months last year and then I just decided it was too much hassel and expense.

I don't drive so I have to rely on other people taxi ing me back and forth. So at the end of the day i decided id just start working out at home again. Which of course I haven't. Boo. Easter break starts on Monday and I'm going to buy a new bike and get back out and get in shape again. I actually was a lot fitter before I started the gym, I find that walking a lot or jogging and hill climbing is better for me than the gym and I was in better shape then than I've ever been. I get distracted too easily at the gym and don't like being watched when Im working out. I wish I could go swimming every day because man I would be uber-fit. But the pools around here are always either reallllyy busy or realllly disgusting.

Yes, for about four months I've been exercising quite a bit. We have a small gym in the home, which I use twice a week. Heh, don't laugh. Usually I just bike instead. We have GREAT places to bike around town and I've got a pool I can swim in. It'll be warm enough (ie >75 degrees  ) in a week or two, so I'll be back at it.

So, ya, mostly lots of biking. Almost every day. :)

We have a mini-gym in our basement, so I run on the treadmill every morning before school.

Bought myself a weight bench about 2 years ago...So I bench, curl, and do about 4 or 5 other typoes of weight lifting...I really need to make a set schedule though because I'm not very good at always fitting it into my day...In the summer I'll run about 10 miles a week...

Yup.

Four times (At the least) a week.

Usually 10 minute cardio warm-up, 40 minutes free-weights, 20 minute aerobic-ish exercises (abs, etc), 10 minute cardio, 10 min sauna, cold shower.

I used to, but then I started losing a ton of weight without exercise (I love my ADD drugs) and I didn't want to upset any balance, so I stopped exercising.

I run about 5K twice a week. I used to run 7K three times a week, but my university schedule kinda put an end to that.

PEACE, Mike.

I lost my train of thought after I saw that. I am wondering of you took that out of context.

Anyway, YES but I exercise my right not to exercise.

I try to do my sit-ups every day, and weights occasionally, but I can never really get into it. I will get my pace up eventually though.

I would say lazy more than stupid. It's far easier this way.

8 months ago I decided to stop trying to work out all the time, I stopped exercising as much, and recently I started to eat more then I have in my entire life. In those 8 months I’ve lost 13 pounds overall but gained at least 15 pounds of muscle (I think it might be 20 or more). So, I’ve lost about 30 pounds of fat and my waist is far thinner.

I used to try working out every other day, but I’d kill myself, and I’d eventually stop doing it consistently after a couple months because it would be so demanding. After a bit I’d convince myself to start again, and the process would repeat. In August I read that working out too much causes you to gain less muscle. You destroy muscle when you do so. So, I decided to go for 20 minutes twice a week. I never work out when I’m sore whatsoever, and it would only have a negative effect if I did. I’ve been putting on muscle at a better rate then when I’d push myself to the limit, and I’m able to stick to it because it doesn’t even take much of a commitment, and I can always find 20 minutes at least every 4-5 days. I usually lift (up to 75 repetitions of 70 pounds; I think I’ll start lifting 100 pounds), and mix in push-ups, sit-ups, other weights, or whatever else I feel like doing. I always push myself to muscle failure, and I’m usually sore for at least 3 days after (when I’m not working out anyway). I like being sore though. heh.

I always used to aim for 8 hours of bike riding a week, although I’d end up with 5-6 typically. Still, that was enough to make me lose some weight, although I’d put some on in the winter when I couldn’t ride as much. From August into November last year I still did that and I lost some weight. In November it got cold and I wasn’t able to get as much exercise. However, I was shocked that I kept losing weight even as I was working out. This year I’ve been biking only about 3 hours a week, but I keep losing weight at a rate faster then I did before. My metabolism has clearly gone crazy. It must be because of the muscle I’ve put on; I burn more fat with the same amount of exercise.

I’m always hungry in the 2 days after working out, and I just give in and eat a lot of protein. I drink a gallon of milk a day, and eat lots of tuna, chicken, yogurt, and eggs. I probably eat as much as 3 average people, but most don’t have my frame and all the protein helps build muscle.

In the summer I’ll probably get to the point where I no longer have any more fat to lose without it being unhealthy. I don’t wish to be too muscular to the point that it has an effect on my agility of flexibility, so I’ll probably just aim to eventually get to 240-250 pounds. Well, it’s not what I would have expected, but I’ve found what works. It’s really easy and fun as well. heh
