Am still on Borderlands 3 with a little bit of MLB (great PS Plus pick) and Dead Space (broke out my ps3 for some scares) mixed in. |

The game gets too much flack, I was expecting to really feel the 25 golden bananas in each level as overloading it, but it's pretty efficient and fun to play, and they don’t make you change characters when you’re in the middle of getting one too much. Banjo Tooie is way more annoying in terms of running across a level and pressing a button as Banjo, then running back to the other side of the level to turn into Kazooie just to run back and press the button again (and Mumbo Jumbo’s entire role in it is just that). I think that’s the game from that era they fucked up. I knew it was in trouble when their recurring “race” was just pressing A as fast as you can. Donkey Kong 2 (masterpiece) > DK64 > Donkey Kong 1/3 (didn't finish either). |

Doom Eternal is dope. Sometimes very frustrating, but couldn’t have asked for a better game to be stuck with. |

I’d give Doom Eternal a 9.3/10. Awesome game. On to Final Fantasy 7 Remake which isn’t quite as fun, but hitting all the right beats. Love the music and the buster sword and Aerith same as ever. Also since I forgot to post my DK ratings before.... Diddy’s Kong Quest - platforming masterpiece and best soundtrack Donkey Kong Country Dixie’s Double Trouble DK64 Tropical Freeze Donkey Kong - the original arcade game Donkey Kong Country Returns - still fun but I didn’t finish it on Wii or 3DS. |

Finally finished all of StarCraft 2. Dear God they botched the storyline. I love Kerrigan but they completely destroyed the Brood War Queen of Blades. |

I'd love to play Animal Crossing, but I don't have a Switch. I just get hesitant if I don't get a system at launch, because I'd think Nintendo would be releasing a new one in 2022. |

The rumor is that “Switch 2” won’t be handheld, which if true, just like the Lite, means it isn’t a Switch at all. It’s worth it if you can find one. |

Definitely pick one up. I wouldn't bet on Nintendo moving on from it any earlier than 2023 (which is just the standard 6-year cycle), and would expect 2024/2025 as the time-frame for a new system release. Sales for the console have increased YoY since it was released, and sales are up over the Wii's now year-on-year. If anything, they'll release other versions of the console in the next year or two (probably a "new" or "pro"). |

Yeah the gamer community can get pretty toxic sometimes. I think, like with movies, most of them are OK with playing a female character but if you replace a male with a female then its a huge a problem. |

A lot of video games have been getting review bombed over the past year or two, and they typically become huge sellers (even record-setting), so no loss there. Still playing Animal Crossing: New Horizons on a near-daily basis, but I've been playing a lot of Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3: The Black Order once again lately. If you're lurking here Chippy and decided to buy a Switch, shoot me or possibly Flava'd (if he's interested/still playing) a message if you'd be interested in playing with me (us). Same goes for anyone else here with a Switch and the game. Flava'd, if you dropped the game before all the DLC came out and looking for something to play, I'd certainly recommend looking into MUA3 again. The DLC (just $20) has added a lot to the game, nearly doubling the original content. There are 13 or 14 new characters (and loads of outfits/voices), and while that's cool and all, the DLC added two new game modes (much needed additions) and an epilogue story mode. |
