Popeye the Sailor Man Turns 75!!! :clap: :D :D

:Dance: it was my favorite cartoon when i was a little boy!! :D

NEW YORK - Put away the cake. Pass the spinach. Popeye celebrates his 75th birthday this year, animated evidence that a steady diet of leafy green vegetables and pipe smoking can guarantee you Hulk Hogan forearms as a septuagenarian.

To honor the veteran sailor man, the Museum of Television and Radio unveiled a retrospective Saturday featuring rarities and collectibles from the cartoon hero's career.

Along with Looney Toons, it was one of the first cartoons I remember seeing as a child (I skipped all that Barney trash :) )!!!

Not really one of my favorites or anything, but it's coool :) Happy B-Day!!

And too bad Robert Altman didn't appreciate the comic strip,
because he sure as hell wasn't interested in Fleischer cartoons.

But Robin Williams was The Perfect Popeye.
