Hopefully Rand just goes full Ron Paul now. Nobody was ever going to buy his attempt to look like a regular conservative Excel wrote: Groucho wrote: The polls are for Republicans only. When other polls have put all the main GOP candidates against Hillary, they all lose, but Trump is at the bottom.
This is about as high in the polls as he will ever get. Moderates and Republicans who aren't crazy won't vote for him. Hillary will without doubt win as long as Romney is out. If Romney wins, I'd say her odds are about 5/1 winning. No other Republican has any sort of shot. Just my opinion... So would you agree Hillary should worry about the rise of another Democrat candidate more than the Republicans. Warren would have been perfect to take on Hill's weaknesses.

Re: The Gift That Keeps On Giving: Trump 2016
Maybe as a candidate. We saw with Obama that many folks are dumb enough to vote in the equivalent of a Junior Associate the position of CEO. She might make a strong candidate, but as President, Warren would be terrible. Yes, sadly, the qualifications which make one a strong candidate are different the qualifications that make on a strong President in 2000s America. Thanks a lot, baby boomers.
She seems like someone who could dominate on a particular issue in a supporting role but running the whole operation? She doesn't have the values or mindset. Mitt Romney managing a team of Warrens and Clinton's and Ryans and the like is exactly where the country needs to go. The President is supposed to be the CEO who oversees and manages all the experts while steering the general direction of the ship, not the expert themselves. Obama too strikes me as somebody who had a much stronger Presidency in him if he hadn't rushed into it. A supporting role in a Clinton White House followed by running himself in 2016 and I think Obama is generally a much more successful President. Instead we got a decent fellow who tried but simply didn't have the ability or internal strength to develop into what the country needed. Ultimately we got severely mixed contemporary results with who knows what in the long run.
Frankly, if Romney is out of the race, all Hillary has to do is not screw up. She is in a much much better position than she was in 2007/2008. There is an enormous

Trump continues his Sherman march-esque path of destruction vs. the GOP establishment. Latest victim was S. Walker. McCain remarks only boosted poll status. Debate will be amazing Quote: I'm praying he succeeds in the primaries. If the Democrats nominate a used Wendy's napkin, it would beat Rump by 100 EV

Now we have the story of him angrily ripping out his first wife's hair so she could share his pain after uncomfortable scalp surgery. Oh, Trump. Trump, Trump, Trump. The Donald.

The media really hates that they cant choose the nominee ala the past few elections, and they're so dumb - all these stupid attacks are just giving him a platform to look strong.

Cecil the Lion should help kill Trump's campaign and if he does, Cecil is really Aslan or something. A right honorable lion. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2114122/Donald-Eric-Trump-pictured-posing-trophy-carcasses-big-African-hunt.html

Nice try.
I don't see Trump in those photos. It's hilarious the media calling him a rapist, trying to make him look bad to women who pump and that he's anti veteran. I've never seen such a blitz on one person. We know why of course. He's a threat to the political game of the same old stooges that people keep putting in office over and over again. People don't want Bush Clinton AGAIN. Hillary has terrible trust numbers and it will only get worse. She doesn't scare me. Put her on a stage and the tired same old freaking liberal arguments aren't going to work except on the dumbest of voters. Trump has it right about Bush being beholden to this big donors trying to shove him down the public's throat. Ain't gonna happen. I think folks are just sick of these dynastic hacks.

Re: The Gift That Keeps On Giving: Trump 2016
I want to see him win individual states but still lose the GOP nomination; that will make an interesting scene. Only a simple majority is needed to win a state primary, right? That should not be too difficult for Trump if Democrats and "independents" pour support for him. A few percentage points is enough to sway the results. So get smart, people. I hope Trump will stick to his words and run as an independent if the party is not fair to him. He will be the guy to shake up the boring "bipartisan" American politics and give the establishment wing of the parties some pressure. This should get people interested in politics again.

It would, though everybody knows Perrot is the only reason Clinton won in 1992. Trump independent would assure a another Clinton victory. nghtvsn wrote: Nice try.

Trump has a massive lead in Florida over Bush and Rubio. Media doesn't get it. Public wants change just as much now as in 07-08, but this time they want some competence with it. Trump will never win but he is beyond competent in the eyes of base GOP.

Why don't you tell that to Cecil the Lions' family who will never have a father in their lives and likely will be killed by another male? Plus all the wildebeast meat they will be deprived of due to Trump and his son murdering local wildebeasts. Cecil peed in the Bush and lived near a Hill, so don't knock his anti-Bush and Clinton bona fides. He also was not into cronyism--unlike Trump.

His populist stand on some issues and challenge to both parties' establishment could win him some Democratic votes. But it is not just about winning. Having a third candidate would change the two-party dynamic. Dilution of party loyalty among the electorate would be one welcoming outcome. It would help bring out issues normally untouched by the establishment and hopefully eventually give the public more say over the electoral process.

Holy fuck.
Trump is doubling the next closest candidate in like every GOP poll and has ENORMOUS leads in the first 3 GOP states as well as many super tuesdays states. He has been essentially impervious to attacks.
Romney is going to have to get in because Jeb fucking Bush and co. aren't doing anything to stop him .

Why would Mitt Romney stop Trump? Another stiff. A multi-time loser who maybe had a mind for business once, but is now a do-nothing politician type. He is not going to make America great again, believe me. Did you see him in the debates? He was terrible! Terrible! And I gave him money! I don't know what happened. He is just a stiff. Just terrible.

So maybe people could warm up to him as an alt candidate to Trump. Only 47 years old is nice as well as it'd at least it'd allow Republicans to play the Hillary/Biden are too old card in the general
