How the hell do you stand the beach, then?
BTW, did you grow up in California or Oregon?

I wasn't at the beach for extended periods. And I wore clothes.
I grew up in California. Moved to Oregon when I was 14.

Bakersfield actually wasn't that bad from what I saw. My brother lives in the nice part of town, I guess, but it seemed like a pretty decent place. I was only there for Friday night and Sunday night, though.

Oh yeah, I also ate at this place called The Elephant Bar. I guess it's a chain? Anywho, pretty good stuff. The service was terrible, though.

California is like a Florida with more culture (they actually read books).
I really, really want to live there when I'm older.

Yeah, California is nice. It gets a bad rap because of the smog and the urban sprawl, but it's (So. Cal) one of the most intoxicating environments I've ever been in. You don't want to leave. I'm actually moving back down there in the summer. We could be roomies, Ross.

Where are you moving to?
I'm moving north next year, not south. So, I'll probably be whiter than you if we ever meet.

Everytime I drive by Bakersfield, almost all the radio station are set to country, I still stand by my statement that theres nothing but farms, cows and horses but at least you were going 100mph there on the freeway without a cop pulling you over I bet. I still find it very hard to believe you found a place that serves vegetarian cuisane unless you were ordering something like Pakistanian food

I dunno yet. I might start off in Bakersfield, simply because it would be easy to get set up there because of my brother. I would like to eventually end up somewhere in southern Orange County. It's so beautiful there. It's ridiculously expensive, though.

I should have included the "why" part in the last post.
Why are you moving? Jobs?

There's one in Burbank. I didn't know it's a chain.

Well, from what I saw, most of the farm land is outside of Bakersfield. Bakersfield is very much a living, breathing city. Yeah, it's a bit on the hick side of things, but it's not too bad. It's alot like most places in So. Cal - huge shopping centers with lots of expensive clothing stores and restaurants.
And yes, freeway driving in So. Cal is probably the coolest thing ever. Seven lanes, 95 MPH, cars every where. It's insane.

A couple of reasons.
I don't like where I am now, and I need better networking for my budding film career.

Film?!?!?!
When you direct The Land Before Time XV, let me know. I'll fly in for the premiere in your basement.
(That's seriously cool, though. Have you written any screenplays yet?)

Cute.
You know, there's a reason I never talk about it. Cynical bastards such as yourself being it.

Hey. You've got to start somewhere.
What about Stay 2?!?! If offered, would you grab it?

Why not? I'd grab just about anything at this point (well, 'cept maybe The Land Before Time XV). As much fun as no budget digital shorts are, it's time to move on.

Big Momma's House 3? 16 Blocks 2? 2 Fantastic 4 U?
Okay, I'll stop.
Again, don't know if you mind talking about this or not, but what kind of connections do you need (outside financial backing) to make it? And, read the question above. Have you finished any screenplays?

I really don't like talking about this stuff. It makes me feel sleazy.
But, for you Ross, I will.
I have several legitimate connections. Family, mainly. The move to California is less for connections and more to surround myself with like minded people. As shocking as it may be, there aren't many actors, DPs, or editors in Medford, OR.
I do have screenplays. I don't know if a screenplay is ever finished. I have ones I'm pretty happy with, but I'm always tweaking things here and there.
