It has nothing to do with female bias.

I feel like it's category fraud having her in supporting but whatever. I didn't have room for her in lead anyway. I voted for her for Supporting though since that's what it was determined she'd be here. LOVED her in Edge, and I've seen all of the nominated performances. It maybe isn't THE best, but it's my fav.

I voted for Blunt just 'cause it would've been an interesting win lol. I think she could fit in both lead or supporting. Awesome winners you guys.

Still Blunt's win is indeed WTF. I would have thought Arquette or Russo would have won it.
Gyllenhaul's win tied with Keaton is awesome. I'm glad I voted for him.
Boyhood should have won BP but Gone Girl is a worthy winner. Atleast Linklater won BD.

Emma Stone deserved it. Does WOKJ not like Stone or something?

Re: 11th Annual WOKJ Motion Picture Awards winners announced
I didn't vote because I hadn't seen some films, my current #1 is Birdman, so it wouldn't have made a difference but tied 2nd place between 3 films.
1. Ratatouille 2. Gravity 3. Million Dollar Baby 4. Inception 5. Dark Knight 6. Drive 7. Inglourious Basterds 8. Children of Men 9. Gone Girl n/a SLP & Brokeback
Gone Girl is a crap film.

Re: 11th Annual WOKJ Motion Picture Awards winners announced
Interesting results. I'll have to suspend judgement until I see Gone Girl. Really thought Boyhood, Interstellar, or Whiplash would take it. (I voted for Birdman but was really torn between that, Boyhood, and Interstellar, all of which gave us something wholly cinematic and unprecedented). Funny, if I had gone for either Boyhood or Interstellar instead (in the end I simply forced myself to vote when I was running short on time), we would have had a tie for Best Picture.
Emily Blunt..... what.
A+ Children of Men Ratatouille
A+/A Brokeback Mountain Gravity The Dark Knight
A/A- Silver Linings Playbook Inception Inglorious Basterds
wtf Drive Million Dollar Baby

_____________________________________________________________________________
Most Overlooked Film Dawn of the Planet of the Apes It's not that I love TGBH, but I had to vote for it by default because in most categories it was the only film I had seen. I'm not a Wes Anderson fan, although I have to say that I enjoy his latest movies (Fox, Kingdom, Hotel) much more than most of his previous oeuvre (Rushmore, Tenenbaums, Aquatic, Darjeeling).
