Judging by several experiences among my rather large circle of friends - in 90% of cases it just doesn't work out. In half of those cases, it ruined the friendship, in the other half it didn't, but at least those involved wouldn't have done it all over again. There was a case or two when it did work for a while. But that's rare. Usually one party developed feelings (mostly jealousy).

Also, I am a big big proponent of "don't shit where you eat".

Obviously, I have done such a thing in the past, but yanno, I learned from it.

I had a FWB with one of my close friends from high school that turned into a relationship, but since he was closeted (everyone knew though lol) and other drama shit happened it ended very badly and we haven't talked in years. It kinda kills me still.

Umm, 25-30 people does qualify as "too many people" if you live a busy life.

I think tat's one of the main reasons I act like a fucking cunt around people, I don't want to many people really close to me out of fear of losing them.

Also, I guess it depends on the definition of "staying in touch". With really good friends, I try to talk to (phone) at least once a week and meet them at least every other week.

I say skip the FWB route and go on to hot girls from high school that you always wanted to bang. They're acquaintances enough that they want to hang out and catch up, and if your life is somewhat more interesting now it's the easiest way to hook up. Then do it with a couple of them and you don't really care if you don't stay friends, but if its occasionally you shouldn't really ever lose the relationship unless one of you gets married or in a serious relationship.

I've been to a lot of cities now and I'm actually surprised never seen a gloryhole. Though one time some tried quite a bit to get in the stall I was in once. Apparently the guy was really drunk and he got tossed by a bouncer, but I was terrified and that scene in Dumb in Dumber flashed before my eyes.
