Is there anyone here who doesn't watch network series, premium series, Netflix, Amazon, etc.?

I stopped about 10 years ago due to being a poor college student. I watch news/sports if it is on tv at the gym, but I otherwise don't watch any series unless I go to friend or family member's house and they are watching.

I constantly get asked: Did you watch The Walking Dead last night? It was awesome! No, I did not.

No Breaking Bad, Mad Men, Orange is the New Black, Cosby Show, Community (I did manage True Detective s.1 and an episode of 2), Girls, True Blood, you name it, I didn't watch it.

Too much time to invest in Netflix, etc. I get annoyed with all of the "this is the golden age of tv" commentary and I just don't fucking care. Not to say that tv of my youth was better, just I don't care.

I know of a person at work that claims they don't watch tv. Maybe it's due to them working two jobs and going to school but I find it surprising that an individual today wouldn't want to watch something. You don't even have to watch them episodically anymore. You can just binge watch them and then take a break. I just think they are missing out on really good quality entertaining tv programming of the day.

CBS, ABC, NBC, FOX and the CW are free. You don't even watch anything on them?

No. I don't turn them on or have a digital tuner or whatever you need to watch the basic networks. I just found that when I couldn't afford to watch and was busy with school, that after a while, I didn't miss it.

Now that I can afford it, I just don't care. Not going to pretend that I fill the void with Moby Dick or Russian literature or something. I do own a tv for games (which I play less and less of) and I will stream sports (excepting that Hughesnet is Fucking garbage).

I don't watch much TV -- not because I don't think there's anything good on, but because I always have so many other things I'd rather do. Write and read books, play computer games, work on my LARP, go places... I do go out of my way to watch Jon Stewart and John Oliver and a few shows every now and then. But we record everything so we can skip commercials and watch them when we want.

My wife is handicapped though due to cancer, and stays at home all day working on her artwork and otherwise resting because she has to, and she loves all the SF shows you can get now on all the different channels.

I watch too much TV.
