I'd agree with you when it serves its purpose. But I'd argue in this case it was pointless and completely unnecessary. I mean they could have just as easily gotten a sicilian to do the role, or anyone for that matter and it still would have been a spot on remake of the commercial. I didn't realize Black face was overrated in America. The last time I've even heard of it outside of the late 30s was once in the 70s and when Ted Danson did it in the early 90s. Unless you count RDJ in Tropic Thunder, but in all those cases again, I see the point of it. This I do not.
