 Storms. suck. So. Yeah. My DC people can back me up on this.
We had this crayyyyzayyyy storm late Friday night about 10:30 PM that came out of nowhere. There were 80mph winds at one point, and lightning like I've never seen. Downed trees and power lines EVERYWHERE.
It knocked out my power immediately and I just got it back a few hours ago. So I had two agonizing nights in horribly humid and muggy temperatures without A/C. Good times. And I still don't have cable or internet so I am clinging to Wi-Fi at Starbucks right now.
It also postponed/canceled my plans to see Magic Mike with girlfriends for the time being. Butttt I did go see Ted (hilarious!) and People Like Us (pretty good) with a friend yesterday just to get out of the fricking house.
...ugh.

Re: Storms. suck. i'm a rich kid and I have a generator at my parents house (and my DC apartment complex has its own generator)....so it didnt really affect me.
but i did have to spend about 15min cleaning leaves from my pool. that did suck.

My internet/cable/landline still doesn't work but at least I have air conditioning. Woof.
