Like I said in the "Cards - Sox thread":

Quote:
Red Sox won it... Damn, congrats to you... Makes Yankees look better, the only team that gave you problems... ;)

Grrrrrrr!

But they're actually good. There are tons of teams that haven;t won in decades because they seriously suck. Thats not the same with the Sox. The only equivalency I could think of would be if Holland could pull itself together and finally get around to winning the World Cup.

Yeah. Too Bad, Jorge Campos had to have been like the BEST goalie in recent history. Ok, Portugal has been coming on strong as of late as well. I hope in 2006 all the four finalists are new. I'm sick of Brazil, Italy, and Germany always popping in. France was really awsome for that, and other reasons.

Ok, back to theGLORIOUS SOX VICTORY!

now the indians need a world series dammit. 2 outs away from winning in 1997. god i almost put my head through a wall after that. hell, gimme a championship from ANY cleveland team and i could die happy. If you wanna experience real sports torture, walk in the shoes of a cleveland fan for a while.

With Lebron on the Cavs you have nothing to worry about. Don't hold your breath on the Indians or Browns though.

i agree the browns aren't close yet. but i think the indians can contend next year. they have a very potent offense. if they get a couple solid relievers and another starting pitcher and the al central is theirs for the taking. the cavs are giving me a hint of hope. playoffs should be reached this year no problem, and i'm hoping they are championship calibur in a couple years. Drew Gooden is playing excellent, and making me miss Boozer less and less. I loved the acquisition of Eric Snow, gives them an excellent backcourt. And along with Lebron, Z, and Gooden i think 45 wins or so is a good possibility this year. Also they have an improved bench.

As of 11 AM today, it's been 35 hours since your teams has won its last title. If I were you, I'd start getting worried.

Hahaha, that reminds me of some comemricals that used to run here a while back. They went to like eight towns, and there were sports fans watching some game. Sme in Cleveland, some in Boston, etc. It had them ranting about how their teams never won anything. Then it went to a black screen with the logo for the Cardinals, Rams, and Blues. "Yeah, it's good to live in St. Louis."
