Men's Figure Skating final just doesn't have its luster without an evil Russian to cheer against I was bummed Plushenko had to pull out. If he had done what he did in the team event he would have won the singles event. Very disappointed that Chan didn't win. He left out some silly points. He could have done a 3 jump combo, not doing that triple salchow after his triple lutz and flubbing that double axle at the end. If he does 2 of those things correctly, then he wins. Ugh. Bummer. Glad Denis Ten earned the bronze.

Glad Denis Ten earned the bronze. I felt better after reading into it to see this is just who Chan is. Seems like lots of his wins, worlds, etc came with even worse falling and meltdowns. Just if it comes with quads and the best skating that's still beating the others, at least before Hansu I also read that Hansu has been falling on the quad sal all year. So if he lost I think the mistake was risking such a hard trick, not choking Overall it seems like the falling is a result of a scoring system making it survivable if it's an uber hard jump and they come close to doing it. Anyways, since the US can only win Bronze now and don't have a Bruin player on their roster, I'm rooting for Finland and Canada.
