Sorry guys, I am in Australia and have spotty internet.

One of you had two first round keepers, which is not possible. Another one had a first and a second rounder and I have to check first whether the first-rounder is a second-year keeper which makes the second rounder impossible to keep like I wrote earlier.

I try to get everything in order from my side asap

Rubio is now correctly attributed to Xiayun.

Animosity picked Kevin Love and Kevin Durant as keepers. Both are first-rounders, it is not possible to get both. Pick one and let me know and choose another one. If you pick Durant you can't get Al Horford or Rajon Rondo as your second keeper since Durant was your keeper last year as well. If you pick Love as a keeper you're free to choose Horford and Rondo.

WMCJ had Deron Williams as his keeper last year, so that means you can't pick Al Jefferson as he is a second-rounder. Let me know who else you like

There's still some mix-up in the draft order. I'll fix that in the next days

Levy,

Kevin Love was a Free Agent for sometime...

Xia drafted him, but due to injry was dropped on Jan 9th
Then on Feb 22nd he was picked up by Havoc as Free Agent. He had just been sitting on the market for about 6 weeks, which would reset his draft status
Havoc dropped him on March 12th
and then I used every $ I had to claim him off waivers on March 14th cause I knew I would want to keep him on my bench for the last 4 weeks of the season for a keeper this year

So Kevin Love should count as 6th or 7th or whatever round a Free Agent should count as

I think keeper is based on player's last year draft position, so for Love, it's 1st round, regardless if he was dropped during the season. Otherwise, any players we pick up last year post-draft would be counted as free agents.

Some leagues play like that some don't. I don't think it was ever said before the season.

Not gonna make an issue but it would make sense both ways...but by me picking him up and holding him for 4 weeks for a keeper could have cost me a better chance to win the champ (didn't have a chance but it could have), thus I took the risk and gamble on an injured player that wasn't owned. Not sure why he would still be a 1st...

I would like to hear a few more opinions, but if majority rules then I will just keep Ty Lawson who I drafted in the 7th round last year

It really was this way last season as well. Otherwise someone could theoretically pick up LeBron after a season-ending injury on the last day of the season to get him as a 7th rounder.

So. The real draft order is now active including the draft pick trade Xiayun and alex had last season. I also updated the keeper rounds for players who someone has for more than one year. Please check again if I didn't accidentally switch keepers between teams, though I think I did everything correctly

Animosity, I gave you Ty Lawson - he is a 6th rounder though since you had him as a keeper last year as well.

Regret the draft trade with xiayun, seems like a lot of 5th/6th round value picks will be available while slim pickings of over ranked players to choose from at the end of the third round

I don't know, but that stretch of 4 picks in 6 is certainly crucial for me to build the team. Still, you having 3 picks in a 4-pick span between 3rd and 4th rounds is pretty cool too.

I missed it too, but knew I couldn't make it because of time difference. Happy to have Dirk for the first time :)

An ok draft for me. Hope I picked up some players with upside potential.

im fine with everything...but if someone was dumb enough to drop lebron on the last day when you are in a keeper league really shouldnt be playing fantasy basketball

Also I forgot about the draft :P

Hmm, so how much should I put down to claim Michael Carter-Williams? :)

in all the years we have been doing this, that was by far the dumbest move ive ever made, sad thing is I always like finding a good rookie to stick with :pinch:

$50 would be a 50/50 shot of getting Carter-Williams.

Wish we could undo the Damian Lillard-John Wall trade after last night lol.

Post subject:  Re: 2013 WOKJ Fantasy Basketball (Drafted!)

$50? Damnn I went way less.

My autodrafted team is looking solid so far. The Vujevic pick initially upset me, but he's filling up the box score nicely. I hope Brandon Jennings turns out the same way, cause I hated that pick even more. I also would have picked up Tristan Thompson in the draft, it amazes me that Xia was able to pick him up off waivers. Dude is gonna average 16/9 at worst and his free throw shooting is much better after switching to the right hand. At the end of the year it might be a good thing though. LeBron has carried me to the playoffs every year but I always lose in the first round...

We should edit the waiver priority to be based on actual reverse draft order, rather than the original randomized draft order, in case there is a tie in FAAB bidding,

My initial draft looked pretty bad after a couple of games, but hopefully the guys I picked up off waiver and as free agents could help long term.
