Insane contract but being a god in Japan will pay some of it back. Seems like the Yanks did well too. |

Kind of dumb that it's legal to not pay Ohtani until 10 years from now so they could afford another 300 million contract for his boy Yamamato. |

It has nothing to do with legality I feel, it's all Ohtani choosing to take a pay cut for the betterment of the team, happens in all sports and something fans basically clamor for all their stars would do. |
