Back to back Stanley Cups, three in the last decade. The Penguins, especially Crosby and Malkin, have secured their place in hockey history. Fleury kept them alive against Columbus and Washington, then Murray picked it up for Ottawa and Nashville.

It really seemed like Nashville was destined for a Los Angeles Kings run, but it's hard to imagine that team won't make a run again next year.

So much for my theory that Vegas was a team who overperformed in the regular season by playing harder than everyone and wouldn't be able to keep it up in the playoffs

Capitals come back from losing 0-2 at home to backdoor sweep the Blue Jackets. Maybe it's a sign this is finally their moment. Capitals Sharks Finals?

Phew.

Tuukka needs to get good again though and fast. He's fortunate the offense put a 7 spot up.

Every year is finally their year. And every year they give up their chance. I've been waiting for them to break the curse of the Penguins. Maybe this will be their year? Or maybe they'll be the second victim on the Road to 3elieve.

The Bruins came out and played like they were in another Game 7. Tampa played like a team that’s been off for a week. And if Tuukka plays like that the Bruins are going to be just fine.

They did what they needed to do. Taking another one in Tampa would be great though.

I enjoyed the finals and hockey isn't such a bore after all. Guys were flying all over the place. Hits, nudges, fists. Loved it. Wish the Knights had won so we could have had another game.

:nope:

It's a good thing the Bruins won the Cup in 2011 because the Bergeron/Chara era of the Bruins would possibly be the biggest choke artists in any sport, aside from the one 2004 Yankees team. And I don't like saying it, but the sooner Bergeron, Krecji and to a slightly lesser extent Marchand leave, the better. They have to get younger and tougher, but that's going to be tricky will very little cap space (another reason I wouldn't mind seeing Marchand leave).

At least the Leafs got monkey off their back with fluky series win against Tampa. Business as usual in Rd 2.

Legit bummed about the Oilers being knocked out. I'm no hockey fan but they were a fun team to watch.

Panthers / Knights is going to be one hell of a Final. It's just a shame no one will watch it.

The Bruins are so weird. This was supposed to be a bridge year but they're somehow the best team in hockey, but they can't (or are barely able to) hold third period leads. They'd be running away with the President's Trophy again if they could've held even a third of the games they've lost in the third and in overtime. That'll probably eventually fuck them over in the playoffs if that continues, but unlike last year, they should be able to get out of the first round. (Famous last words) None from the - Capitals, Leafs, Flyers, and Lightning, really scare me. But if they're lucky to get out of the first round (after last year I'm not taking anything for granted) I don't see them getting by the Panthers. The Panthers will just bully them around again and I think they're more talented and better built for a playoff run.
