Alcarez is spectacular! And it's always fun to see Djokovic lose a big major match. I can see him winning US Open this time though since he should have more.

Massive win from Alcaraz, I thought with Djokovic having serve in the 5th he would not give it away, but Alcaraz pulled it off. 2 slams already and only just turned 20, nobody on the tour right now that can match his talent, he will lose some matches, but looks like he will be no.1 for the foreseeable future.

Nice to see Wozniacki is back, and based on the few minutes I saw of Vondrousova match at Canadian open where she hung, it looks like a legit comeback and not just playing a few matches for fun.

My pick to win of the final four Keys blew it, but Sabalenka has lost so many similar semifinals that she was due.

Epic upset! Medvedev played out of his mind.

Nice to see Meddy beat Carlos. I hope he wins it all. It would put him on two US Opens.

I'm extremely pleased for Gauff, and it will mean even more that she beat Sabalenka in the final and not just some ambitious qualifier. What a way to win your maiden slam.

I thought Gauff was going to be too defensive to beat Sabalenka but it turns out she could get to everything.

Well Medvedev blocking the Djokovic/Alcarez mega matchup ended up being pointless. I always thought Djokovic was going to win US Open similar to how Federer lost the big 2008 Wimbledon final to Nadal but got his 5th straight US open later in the year. Now if the pattern continued Alcaraz vs Djokovic would be final at Australian open with Alcaraz winning in 5 sets and dethroning him at his favorite major.

Djokovic ended up with a very dominant season instead of passing the torch, probably should be called his 3rd best or so (3 majors and a close finals, very good at the non majors although I believe worse than 2011 and 2015’s). Shouldn’t really be happening at this age, but maybe the other guys other than Alcaraz are just too big of jabronis and even the latter cooled off recently.

That was a nice preview of the finals in the non big 3 era, feel bad for Medvedev though.
