Serena has Another damn chance at tying MC. I believe she will come through this time. Naomi is going to be flustered and amazed to just be in her first slam final. Serena wants those last two majors.

My my my. Novak Djokovic. It looked like he was done winning majors and now he might win two this year. This is a time warp again. Del Potro. Unreal.

Gratz to Naomi Osaka.
Love this girl already . I liked that moment where she recounted how she dreamed she would play Serena in the finals and even shyly thanked her . How sweet and genuine that moment was .

Also, can’t believe Serena got through that end speech there but she controlled the crowd and kept focus on Naomi and her achievement

I don't watch much tennis, but that was certainly an emotional, and unfortunate, final for everyone. Serena acting out, the umpire's extreme retaliation (at least to me -- a full game penalty?), and the audience booing the start of the ceremony. Poor Osaka having to be apart of all of that drama while playing, and winning, against her idol...

And one of the commentators saying, "bring on the sake!" Umm... besides the obvious things wrong about that, Osaka is half-Japanese and has been in the U.S. nearly all her life.

The Andy Murray era has come to an end. Outlasted by the three legends.

Yes unfortunate hip surgery but hey he’s had a pretty good career in the face of three legends at the same time

He came up just a bit short and was just a bit too injured to be called in the same breath as them. Australia seems like an open field this year I guess, Novak is firmly #1 atm, but his peak was 3 years ago, and I can see a Thiem or Zverev beating one of the old champs in the final. I'm still hoping for another last hurrah from Fed though.

No shame in Andy Murray winning 3 majors/making 11 finals, two gold medals and being a world #1. Just looks worse by comparison to the big 3. There's a world where he only has 1 major after getting beat by them his whole career and then finally wins 2016 Wimbledon when the draw went his way, but he busted his ass and beat Djokovic a few finals at US Open and his first Wimbledon

Great to see Nadal make it through to the final. Hopefully he can take this one.

Lucky for Djokovic he's playing tonight and not in the day. Its a brutal 44 degrees today (111F) but a cool change is expected late afternoon.

Apparently Nadal can only be the second or third. I think it's the third man to win all four majors at least twice should he win Sunday. I think he has a couple more French's in him. Looks like he will overtake Roger...maybe. Djokovic will be tough should he get through to the Final.

On the ladies side, I was of course shocked beyond with Serena's collapse. Unreal. I still think she'll match Court but I'm beginning to get worried she won't. I will be rooting for Osaka to make the Final and hopefully win.

Osaka has won b2b. Apparently the first since Capriati. Idk these stats are crazy.

Djokovic dismantled Nadal. Unreal. Each of the big three has kryptonite winning that 2nd major. Nadal it’s Aussie and fed and Djok it’s the French. Nadal looks solid for #13 though and end Djoks streak of slams at 3 amazingly

Impressive comeback for Djokovic (career-wise). These big 3 are so immensely impressive. So hard to tell which of them will end up with the most slams. They all seem to know how to bounce back from any setbacks or slumps.

Well Djok won 3 in a row and he's 31. He's at 15. Nadal is 32 and at 17. Most likely going to be 18 and 2 behind Roger. I thought 20 was going to be impossible for Novak but if he can win 3 in a row over 30 then I think he may end up with the most which was unthinkable to me a year ago.

It's incredible Federer and Nadal are in the semis again, these guys are unbreakable, or the competition is the weakest ever. And against each other, a treat for fans to see legends compete on the biggest stage once again.

It can't be the competition is the weakest ever when it's on clay. All the claysperts come out and most are usually younger and fitter. They simply aren't as good tennis players vs even senior citizen legend tennis players. That says more about Fed and Nadal than their non legend younger competition. I haven't watched much of the French this year but even Djokovic is in his umpteenth quarters and of course ranked #1.

This Amanda Anisimova upsets Halep. I didn't know she was American. Go Girl.

Old Fed vs Old Nadal tomorrow at 0300. Fed's had a great run but Nadal isn't losing. He just flattened Nishikori.

Nadal is just / has been unreal on clay. Never ever has there been a single player more dominant on that surface ever. I don't think that will ever be broken. Hopefully we get Nadal v Djokovic for another clash of legends but I'd still say it's 70/30 Nadal wins that matchup.

yes my error

59 clay titles almost touching 60. Should have reached 60 this year but Nadal played badly in previous clay tournaments.

Clay and specially FO is Nadal's backyard. I think he can get 2-3 more here to get to Roger's tally. Djokovic has started to show signs of age this year but I think he has better shot to reach 20+ slams.

5 more for Djokovic I think is still possible. He barely lost the semis here though I'm sure Nadal would have beat him too. He's a threat at any surface and I think Roger is done at 20 at this point.

A healthy Djoko should defeat Fed indeed with age on his side, while this young 'uns can catch Fed of guard in a 3rd round or quarters as well. I still hope to see him win one title in the next 2 years and then retire right after. Nadal could have another French Open in him, but after that really not sure. It will be a few decades before we'll see anyone as good as any of these three probably.
