Meh. If anyone cared WWE moved back to USA tonight. It was good to see all the oldies comeback but other than that it wasn't great.

Yeah, aside from the veterans, it was fairly lackluster. The main-event was REALLY off. Who cares about Cena and Bischoff anyway? Horrible main-event. They really dropped the ball on that one, considering the strong matches from Angle, HBK, Matt Hardy and Edge.

I think that the main event, Hogan, and Smackdown match were all cut down because they were running overtime.

And X I know you were pumped when you saw Shane McMahon come out.

Here comes the money! *stone cold stunner* And there goes the money!

I was pretty pissed that the Smackdown match didn't take place, but I hear it will be the main-event for Friday Night Smackdown. I think the show ran from 7:55pm EST to 11:13pm EST, so it's understandable that the show was cut down a bit after the, ahem... Bra and Panties match. Wouldn't want to cut that down, now would they?

As long as I got to see The HULKSTER and him tease a match with Stone Cold Steve Austin at Wrestlemania XXII, I'm happy.. :towel: What's Stone Cold gonna do when the Largest arms in the World and the HULKAMANIACS drop the big leg across Stone Cold and pin him for the 3 count like he did Shawn Michaels at Summerslam?? I watched that today on DVD and it was a damn good match and both men complimented one another well, except for Michaels coming back to the Ring at the end and crying his eyes out while shaking Hogan's hand citing: "He had to find out for himself why HOGAN is The MAN"..

Here's a rundown of the No Mercy matches and my predictions (contains spoilers for tonight's Smackdown)

Singles Matches

Bobby Lashley vs. Simon Dean
Basic squash match. No way Dean has a chance in this one.

Rey Mysterio vs. JBL
Mixed feelings on this one. I think Guerrero is SD's top heel so there is no need for JBL to win. But since Mysterio won the first matchup, JBL will probably win this one.

Hardcore Holly vs. Ken Kennedy
The youngins will rule the night with a win from Mr. Kennedy....Kennedy. (He's also one of the best wrestler in the WWE right now)

Crusierweight Championship

Nunzio vs. Juvi
OMG A CRUSIERWEIGHT MATCH NOT ON VELOCITY. Juvi will take it from Nunzio. Expect a lot of title changes from this division in the upcoming months.

Handicap Casket Match

Undertaker vs. The Ortons
Does Undertaker ever job to anyone, especially in his specialty matches. 'Taker gets the win.

Mixed Tag Team Match

Christy Hemme and L.O.D. vs. MNM
L.O.D. has won this matchup too often. With no title on the line, MNM will take it.

Fatal Fourway U.S. Championship

Chris Beniot vs. Christian vs. Booker T vs. Orlando Jordan
Beniot won't lose the belt so quickly. I hope this leads into a feud with Christian.

World Heavyweight Title

Batista vs. Eddie Guerrero
No contest. RAW Superstars come down to the ring and intefere leading to RAW vs. Smackdown at Survivor Series. Batista and Guerrero remain "friends" for the time being.

It's a bit of a weak card, even on separate brand standards (I know the stronger shows come from the combined Raw/Smackdown PPVs, but still...). I'll be interested in seeing Batista and Guerrero, since Batista has basically been tied up with Triple H and JBL for the past few months.

Five of the eight matches look like they are only higher-grade Velocity matches. I see this as potential to push a lot of people, so hopefully they do it right, because otherwise No Mercy will be seen as a huge disappointment, with little-to-no main top draw on the entire card.

That's an old one, considering they nixed that after either 9/11 or the War in Iraq. Still, brings back memories.

I watched Friday Night SMACKDOWN last night for probably the 1st time ever in watching the whole thing and it really does have a no name sort of feel going for it with their wrestlers and one being expected to shell out 35.00 bucks for this is questionable..

I would never pay to watch any PPV. That's why I go over to my friend's house where he gets it free.

They really need to keep the price for the Raw/Smackdown PPVs (Royal Rumble, Wrestlemania, Summerslam and Survivor Series), and make the prices a LOT lower for the separate PPVs.

Nah. The only match I'm interested in is the main-event, and since they'll likely have a rematch at Survivor Series, I'll wait for the superior PPV. Everything else either just serves to elevate someone further (Juventad Guerrera, Bobby Lashley and Mr. Kennedy), push a storyline forward a bit, just enough for Survivor Series (Undertaker and the Ortons; Batista and Guerrero; LOD and MNM; Rey and JBL), or is just a probably darn good US Title match (Umm... the US Title match).

Just got back from my friend's house. And of course the PPV sucked.

L.O.D. beat MNM with Hemme getting the pin. Gay.

Lashley beat Dean and made him eat 20 double cheeseburgers. Lashley messed up a few moves.

Benoit won fatal-fourway. Christian laid down again.

Kennedy beat Holly. Kennedy is fucking awesome. Best match of the night.

JBL beat Rey. Alright match.

The Ortons beat Undertaker and set the casket on fire. Longest match of the night but kind of stupid.

Juvi beat Nunzio. Gay.

Batista beat Guerrero. Short match to further storyline.

Overall below average. No RAW invasion, no nothing.

Yeah, I read about Undertaker's "demise" (until he "returns" at Survivor Series). I mean, how many times can you bury Undertaker alive, put him in a casket, light him on fire, kill him, and have him return every time? I know he's the Dead Man, but still... it seems like the only way he can put over others is by doing that.

For a while, I was half-expecting Eddie to screw Batista completely, and cheat to win the title. I think that would have worked better. Have Batista win it back at Survivor Series or Armageddon.

Considering the overall lack of good guys on Smackdown that are big enough to be in the main-event picture, I think Batista will likely lose the title between now and Royal Rumble, and win it back at Wrestlemania again. Rey Mysterio is getting a good push, but it's way too soon. Booker T hasn't been near the main-event picture in a few years. Benoit is the top mid-carder, but I don't see a second shot at the gold for him. The only other choice is The Undertaker, and while it would be cool to see him have the belt one last time, I think it would be unwise, considering his inability to work a full schedule. He'd probably lose it one month later.

While I'm at it, Raw is in DESPERATE need of some good guys. Who's there? John Cena, Shawn Michaels, Big Show... umm... Shelton Benjamin... uhhhhm... that's pretty much it. Everyone else is a heel (or bad guy). They lost Matt Hardy, who will likely either show up on Smackdown, or continue his "attack Edge and be escorted from the building" thing again. Shelton is buried in a feud with Kerwin White and his ball-washing caddy. I read somewhere that Big Show doesn't want a full-time schedule anymore. Kinda like Undertaker. That really only leaves Cena and HBK. And Ric Flair. But it's doubtful he'll be wrestling for much longer on a regular schedule, anyway.

Benjamin better get a good push soon. He's the best wrestler in the WWE bar none. His mic skills need work but he needs to fight someone other than Kerwin White.

He had such a good push with the IC Title, that I fear he's lost his opportunity of moving upwards. Let's hope he's not being forgotten.
