Tommy Dreamer won the ECW title. Good for him. Batista won WWE title. Ugh.

Batista won't keep it very long In Fact he might only keep it for 24 hours Heres Why

According to sources, Batista is scheduled for surgery on Tuesday morning for a torn biceps muscle that he sustained in a match prior to his bout with Randy Orton at "Extreme Rules" last night. The injury was likely the reason the match only lasted just over seven minutes.

Why the company decided to go through with the title change despite the injury is still a question mark, although one would assume the reason will be revealed in the storyline going forward.

Expect an injury angle or something done on RAW tonight to get the title off of Batista, as he'll be undergoing surgery the next morning and be on the shelf as far as being an active in-ring competitor.

Lots of surprises tonight. I kind of expect another one on RAW tomorrow night. There's no way they just give it back to Orton...right?

So they fire KENNEDY for being so injury proned, but Batista gets spared for as often as he's in and out for surgery due to injuries?? WTF?? :funny:

Good for him??? This win was clearly out of pity.. Each and every week, Dreamer comes out to the sound of crickets with virtually little pop to match.. The crowd simply doesn't dig old timer Tommy Dreamer and prefer someone with a little more charisma and unfortunately, Christian is all they have and even he's not that good.. Then you have a former champion with a lisp..

I kinda hope Vicky strips Batista of the Title and puts it up in a Tournament where the Next Champion will be decided at the Bash.

Holy championship changes, Batman!

Someone got a little excited on the title matches. Jeff might have the shortest combined world title reigns ever.

And really... a Batista injury news item isn't anything new. Don't we get those once a month now? Goodness.

It sucks that Batista got injured, but it's good for us. :D Unless Triple H returns earlier than expected... which would really suck. Hopefully Orton gets the title back somehow. A tournament might be a good way to go too.

Also ecstatic over Punk's win. I'd like to see a full-fledged heel turn now, although Smackdown is lacking on the face side. If Hardy leaves, the top faces would just be Morrison and Taker (Mysterio too, but he looks to be locked with Jericho for the time being). I'd definitely love to see a Punk/Taker program, though.

Umaga was released today, BTW. I imagine he'll be in TNA in 90 days.

Too bad about Umaga. It just didn't seem like he rebounded after last year's injury. Sort of like Kennedy. Sort of like Batist... oh.

Speaking of, Kennedy said that people want him to say something about injury-prone Batista, but he said Batista is apparently one of the nicer guys in the locker room. So, I guess I can only dislike Batista for his lack of in-ring abilities and overall stale image.

So it'll be Umaga-Joe vs Umaga since TNA seems hell bent on having Joe copy his look and style.. How many wrestlers can TNA employ and still manage to squeeze all of them into storylines, including Bobby Lashley who we don't even see anymore except for 1 appearance at a PPV recently???

Well, I think it's pretty much official around KJ: Pro Wrestling just isn't that big a draw anymore, even with the few people around here who watch it.. It's been like 10 days since anyone even posted in this thread so I'll make the announcement: Vince sold Monday Night RAW to Donald Trump, so it appears that Trump is running RAW and the 1st line of business for Trump is to have a commercial free RAW this coming Monday night.. That's right, no commercials for 2 hours and Trump claims Vince was wrong in allowing commercials in on Monday Night RAW which is, well, sort of stupid considering they have to pay for this crap somehow.. In other news, Batista won the Tilte from Orton at EXTREME RULES but forfeited it the following night on RAW to Orton which set up a Fatal 4 way as only the WWE does best cause afterall, there's no such thing as 1 on 1 matches anymore cause there's too many Ego's and everyone has to be in on the Main Event now don't they??

Edge will be out for eight months, thereabouts, with an achilles tendon injury. Eek. If and when Jeff Hardy leaves (and who knows with him?), it's going to be interesting to see who starts getting a push on Smackdown. John Morrison? Dolph Ziggler? Or will Moldy Oldy Undertaker reclaim the top spot?

I must say that while I love Taker, it's been refreshing to see new faces on Smackdown. Just as it is when Triple H and Cena aren't hogging screen time over on RAW.

Hell, I didn't think anyone even cared about wrestling anymore given how long it's been since anyone responded to this thread?? Lately, I've been TRYING to watch TNA and I'll tell ya: This whole Main Event Mafia crap reeks of WCW and the NWO all over again.. The acting is painful and Kurt Angle thinking he's Tony Soprano with the beard and mustache has to go.. It makes him look old.. And why is Umaga Joe with the Main Event Mafia when that group consists of nothing but old and date dying wrestlers from the WWE???

So EDGE will be out for 8 months huh??? So much a for a great storyline involving 2 of the best working heels in that company being EDGE and JERICHO.. That was the best thing going and now it's gonna be over as fast as it began.. As for the 15 wrestlers traded by TRUMP?? It was a DUMB move, especially putting Shelton Benjamin back on ECW for no good reason other than to keep him down.. Hell, he beat HHH at 1 time and didn't even get a title shot cause of it.. It's like Vince is punishing him or something..

Random thoughts on the state of WWE:

-Jeff Hardy (did you expect me to lead with anything else?) is being advertised for the UK shows later this year, while Edge has been removed this week (being replaced with Jeff on the ads), leading many to believe he has re-signed with WWE. No idea if it's true, since I've seen stories from both sides since before Wrestlemania, but it'd be nice if he didn't leave. Wonder what comes of his main-event status though. Hopefully he'll get a real World Title run if he does stay?

-This whole guest host deal is going to start taking away from RAW soon. It'll just be this thing where the hosts end up doing stuff the heels don't like, so the guest hosts look good.

-Glad to see Dolph Ziggler getting an IC title push. Hope he wins at NoC or SSlam.

-At some point, they're going to run out of ideas for Triple H and Orton. Then they'll re-do it all again.

-Could they have, you know... NOT made The Miz job to Cena twice? Seriously?

-Mark Henry has to be the luckiest WWE employee after Jeff Hardy. Now he's getting a babyface push? Goodness.

-I thought I had more to say, but guess I don't.

Hardy vs Punk with Punk as the supposed heel has promise.. Punks been pulling this crap about his eye bothering him every time he's paired with Hardy.. Don't understand why the WWE doesn't turn Cena heel??? Hell he's never been a heel to my recollection.. This whole marine you can't see me with his hands waving in front of his face shtick is old..

Over on TNA, the tag team wrestling has promise but the overall dialogue and acting/ass kissing about the business and paving the way for the younger wrestlers between Jarrett and Mick Foley sucks ass.. The Main Event Mafia is merely the NWO TNA style, Kevin Nash needs to retire and Kurt Angle looks skinny now compared to his WWE days... Guess Jarrett and Dixie Carter don't care whether there wrestlers look skinny or not in TNA, something Vince McMahon would've never allowed his wrestlers to do as evident with how big they are..

Here's both commentary and results of the godawful TNA PPV titled "Victory Road" which showed the Main Event Mafia sweep the title matches and now own all the titles in that lame NWO ripoff stable that all of you praise to high heaven.. Week after week, Jarrett talks about how Mafia keeps the younger talent down with Kevin Nash citing the same damn thing in his promo against AJ Styles for the Legends Championship and what happens?? Nash destroys Styles to become Legends Champion after complaining that the older talent holds the younger talent back.. Once upon a time not too long ago, we were being introduced to a new angle involving Jeff Jarrett vs Eric Young and what happens to that feud?? It disappeared as though it never happened.. Tara(Better known as Victoria in the WWE) Wins the Womens Championship like 2 weeks ago only to drop it back to the woman she won it from 2 weeks earlier.. It makes no sense.. Umaga Joe vs Sting lasts 2 minutes with Taz debuting as Joe's Mentor to do absolutely nothing but stand there in Joe's corner as though this is some sort of impact..

And THIS is supposed to be so much better than the WWE which isn't much better?? How does the #2 company in the form of TNA survive with lame PPV's like "Victory Road"??? How do you all defend this crap better yet???

Post Re: Wrestling (WWE, ECW, TNA)
Say what you will about WWE, but they haven't had Mick Foley in the main-event for a long time. And no offense to the man, he's one of my all-time favorites, but he's not really meant to be in the World Title hunt. Even in his prime, it was a stretch. That's why I can't get into TNA. They keep giving the big spots to people who really shouldn't have it. And no matter what they do, they still have yet to convince me that they aren't just "The WWE Reject Show". I know it's ignorant, but when I read their PPV results, almost every match has a former WWE employee, if not two or more in each match.

Then you have Kurt Angle telling Dixie Carter "Me or him" in regards to Jeff Jarrett, and they've taken Jarrett off TV. Not that I'm complaining on that, I never got how Jarrett became such a big star in TNA.

It just doesn't interest me. I wish someone could convince me to watch it (whenever I did watch it, I liked it, but that's going back to January 07).

Anyway, Jericho posted on his Twitter that his match with Jeff this Friday is a must-see. Apparently, a number of fans have said the same. And no, I didn't read it in the Jeff Hardy Fanclub. Although if there was such a thing, I'd totally join.

OH OH OH and Jeremy Piven is hosting RAW in the next month. :whaa: God-willing they keep the sushi away from him.

Outatime is a big fan of TNA is why I tossed that in there.. Jarrett became a so called "Self Proclaimed" star in TNA cause he co-owned it with Carter and probably wrote his own script and storyline to have him come out that way..

At least Triple H looks the part (and really, with backstage pull, Triple H and Jarrett are comparable). He looks like a star. I never get that vibe when I see Jarrett. And even though he's pissed off a lot of fans, I do think Triple H has what's best for the business in mind, not what's best at the moment. Jarrett always seemed to be about putting himself over and validating his otherwise tepid career.

Again, all speculation. I really don't know a ton about it.

HARDY HARDY HARDY!!! :cheer:

Totally didn't expect that last night. I hope this is a sign that he re-signed with WWE? Hopefully? The wrestling sites keep reporting otherwise, even though he's on the rosters for November shows overseas. Anyway, hopefully this World Title run lasts longer than a month.

I think it's cool but what does this do for Punk who's only held this belt for less than a month?? Kills his heel credibility and this is 1 of the better feuds right now incorporating real life issues and lifestyles between both men, who's life style is better...
Jericho's surprise tag team partner is a real disappointment... I think Dolph Ziggler should've been his partner and NOT the Big Slob.. The WWE Creative team baffles me with this.. At least Orton retained his belt..

From this week's Smackdown spoilers:

Quote:
Hardy says he was advised by doctors to retire but he won't. Punk interrupts and says Summerslam will be Hardy's last match. Hardy gives Punk The Twist of Fate.

I'm pretty sure a bunch of places have been saying he's sticking around, but I dunno. Is he leaving? Or are they just messing with all the people who think he is?

Honestly, I really don't keep up much on this anymore cause the product has become so stale, even at TNA with Vince Russo style of booking like it's WCW all over again: An organization designed to keep old retired WWE wrestlers health insurance stay active and give them a small paycheck.... The Main Event Mafia is basically the NWO...
