 Re: NBA 2010-2011 Season
KD will be good but nowhere near LeBron. For being a big fan, Durant cant handle the ball ,it's all Westbrook.
In this way LeBron forced his involvement despite the Thunders efforts. Durant is always going to be an off the ball weapon of mass destruction, but off the ball it will be & that is a serious flaw in ones game.

Draft is tonight. Cleveland picks #4, and hopefully MKG will be there. Davis will be #1, Beal will be #3. We only need Michael Jordan to screw up his pick.

 Re: NBA 2010-2011 Season
Bryan Colangelo is going down in flames right now. First we draft Ross over Drummond because an older shooter will fit better than a young project big beside Nash, then we offer him a cray contract and he still says no, so we pay 20 million to Fields just to screw up the Suns sign and trade with the Knicks (good idea, I'm sure annoying a FA by taking away his #1 option is going to woo him to sign with you when he already said no, plus what a chicken shit unproffesional move in general), then he's still going to NY but with Shumpert in Fields' place apparently. We basically went all in for a 38 year old PG to go beside one of the least talented/youngest teams in the league. Colangelo basically knows his only chance of not getting fired was signing Nash and making the bosses a ton of money, and he's in total panic mode. Hilarious week for the Raptors. Get this clown out.

Good for Nash.
Sucky for the Suns, but at least they got something for him.

This move just made The Lakers title contenders, I'm hoping they can trade Gasol for Josh Smith and Bynum for Howard

I'm predicting Dirk has a season ending injury early next year. Dallas will bottom out and have a top 5 pick to rebuild around.

I love Ray Allen, but I hate that he abandoned the Celtics, who were giving him MORE money and a no trade clause in his contract, for the Heat. The HEAT.

Apparently, another NBA ring is more important that millions of more dollars. That's crazy. I'm sure he's rich but to give up more money just to be on the championship team? It's not like the Celtics are terrible.

 Re: NBA 2010-2011 Season
It's dumb. I understand wanting another ring, but c'mon.
They were SO close to beating the Heat in the conference finals despite dealing with injuries. Celtics could have definitely made another run at this. But instead, he abandoned Garnett and Pierce and all the Boston fans just to jump onto the Heat for another ring, but for less money?

Cry me a fucking river. Allen won a ring with them. Get over it Boston. Who from Boston is complaining? He didn't want to be here and the Celtics already have two replacements. Now Miami has a washed up guard with a bum ankle. This is practically a non move for them.

 Re: NBA 2010-2011 Season
ESPN: Quote: According to sources the Nets would receive Dwight Howard, Jason Richardson, Chris Duhon and Earl Clark in the proposed deal. The Magic would get Brook Lopez in a sign-and-trade, Luke Walton, Damian James, Sheldon Williams, Armon Johnson and three first-round picks -- two from the Nets and a lottery protected first from the Clippers. The Cavs would get Kris Humphries in a sign-and-trade, Quentin Richardson, Sundiata Gaines, a first round pick from the Nets and three million in cash. The Clippers would receive MarShon Brooks. ...if the deal goes through. Shit is crazy. It blows my mind that the other teams are helping to make this trade possible.

 Re: NBA 2010-2011 Season
Don't understand why Magic wants to do this trade. It's like they'll have a 20-person roster with no real stars. The 3 picks won't be lottery-bound either. Much better to go for Bynum instead.

I'm most surprised about the Cavs' participation. Isn't their GM the one who emailed Stern about blocking the Chris Paul trade? And yet this one is okay?

 Re: NBA 2010-2011 Season
The Lakers-Rockets-Magic trading brewing is interesting. Magic gets a bunch of future draft picks and young stars that will give Magic some cap room, while Houston gets Howard and trade him to the Lakers for Bynum.
I'm all about Lakers dominating this year now that they have Nash, since I want both him to get his first and Kobe to get one more. So Dwight going will push this even further.

How good would lakers be with Howard, Gasol, Bryant and Nash. It definitely makes them the favorite.

 Re: NBA 2010-2011 Season
The Rockets are going to cut Luis Scola to make room for Dwight Howard.. And getting rid of your two best players (Lowry is on Toronto now) is certainly the best way to excite a superstar like Dwight Howard. I'm sure he'll so be so thrilled winning 30 games next year. Knowing that the Rockets wasted their amnesty instead of using it on Jrich or Hedo. Daryl Morey has lost his mind. I wish the Cavs would pick up Scola, but that would require them to do something.

 Re: NBA 2010-2011 Season
Wow looks like linsanity may be moving to Houston with NY obtaining both Felton and Kidd. I wonder if Houston had some kind of agreement w NY to not match Lin when Houston agreed to sign and trade Camby to NY. Melo probably hated that Lin stole his thunder and wanted Lin gone especially since he started playing way better after Lin's injury.
With Lin in Houston, this might be what gets Dwight Howard to agree to a long term contract to Houston, as he would get huge media attention there and increase his marketability in Asia.
It's really too bad that Knicks is so set on building around Melo, otherwise they would have had the best package to offer Orlando in Chandler and Melo to get Dwight along with Lin and Amare. or if couple years ago they got deron instead of Melo then they would have deron Howard amare.
