 Re: Wrestling (WWE, TNA, ROH)
Also, the crowd fucking sucked Monday. They shit all over the two women segments. I understand calling the arm wrestling boring. There are few less exciting wrestling plot devices than arm wrestling. It starts the same, it ends the same. Every single time. But to shit on Sasha and Charlotte? What a bunch of misogynistic dicks.

 Re: Wrestling (WWE, TNA, ROH)
I totally missed that Hell in a Cell is in Boston. It's kind of the perfect storm to have Sasha and Charlotte main-event the show. This could be the last chance for a long time to have women headline a PPV. They likely won't shit on it with a hometown favorite in the mix. And think of the positive headlines WWE could get for having two women headline a PPV. It's unprecedented.

 Re: Wrestling (WWE, TNA, ROH)
All the TRIPLE MAIN EVENT ads and the way they're focusing on the historical significance rather than Sasha and Charlotte's two year blood feud makes me think its not going on last. Jericho is going to have to shout "you just made the list!" Every five minutes to keep the crowd from booing that match out of the building. Might as well put Reigns last.

Pretty good show besides the finish.

 Re: Wrestling (WWE, TNA, ROH)
Didn't see it, but I forgot all about the time-honored tradition in wrestling to have the hometown favorite ALWAYS lose. Always. The first and last time a hometown favorite won a match, he ended up walking out of WWE, became embroiled in a bitter lawsuit and went on to fight for UFC.

I'm fine with that tradition, but not when its the only excuse you have for a finish. The story called for Sasha to win, the moment called for Sasha to win, the history books they are so obsessed with called for Sasha to win.
But trolling their own fans takes priority in wwe these days. It really makes me not want to watch the product at all.

Well I was being a tad facetious about the hometown thing, even though it's 100% true. And its only purpose is to troll the fans. I get that it was probably an old-time thing to have the hometown favorite lose a match, but it doesn't need to happen every single time. Sometimes it's OK to let the fans leave happy. It's OK, Vince. Happy fans is a good thing.

 Re: Wrestling (WWE, TNA, ROH)
lol.
Now onto Survivor Series
how tythe fuck is Smackdown suppsoed to be a threat?
The Way Nia squashed Bayley make sit seem like she could take the whole smackdown team on her own. )Unless being Fearless is more powerful)
The tag team is the same. No way Smackdown can take on new day.

 Re: Wrestling (WWE, TNA, ROH)
Crazy that a few years ago, Survivor Series was rumored to be gone and now they're actually taking it seriously again and not just throwing a Survivor Series match in there to uphold the franchise.

 Re: Wrestling (WWE, TNA, ROH)
I haven't seen an audience hijack the show like this in a very, very long time. Wow. It's been ongoing for about 20 minutes now, as of this post.
Nia Jax even broke character for a second there.

 Re: Wrestling (WWE, TNA, ROH)
Yeah, it was pretty amazing. And this year's Survivor Series was very good; every match was above par.
Now I wonder if they're truly going to give Goldberg the title, or if Lesnar will interfere and eliminate him in the Royal Rumble.

 Re: Wrestling (WWE, TNA, ROH)
Wow, what a fucking ballsy main event. Probably the first time WWE has been that ballsy since Lesnar basically squashed John Cena at Summerslam a few years ago. After the shock wore off, I wondered how WWE could basically destroy Lesnar after building him for almost five years, but then it all made sense.
And man, Goldberg really kept the strong fan reactions going. I thought he might get booed out of the building in Canada. People must be very forgiving of his lackluster WWE run in '03-'04.
The rest of the card was strong too. I could have done without the in-fighting in the womens match and the main SS match. It's too easy to have a face and heel who are teaming together to start fighting with each other. Still, that main Series match was an epic 53 minutes.
Can we stop with the announcers constantly dropping stats on us? I fucking loathe when I hear "Chris Jericho is 3 and 0 in traditional Survivor Series matches", etc etc etc. Royal Rumble is the worst. Someone's music barely hits, and suddenly I'm inundated with how many Rumbles they've been in, what their longest Rumble was, yadda yadda fucking yadda.

 Re: Wrestling (WWE, TNA, ROH)
I thought the Charlotte/Sasha RAW main event was another solid match. The fact that they keep getting these main event matches is incredible. Good for them.
However, now that the title has changed hands so many times, it might be time to put this feud to rest. They're running the risk of devaluing the title. I'd personally like to see Bayley get a Wrestlemania match for the title. Against who I'm not sure. Maybe a heel Banks? I'm not sure if Nia Jax is a strong enough performer. I haven't really seen her in anything besides her awkward moments with Alicia Fox. But I'm not sure if they'll put the brakes on the Charlotte/Sasha matches. It's just that they've main evented two RAWs (three?) and a PPV. Short of headlining Wrestlemania, I'm not sure where else they can build this feud.

 Re: Wrestling (WWE, TNA, ROH)
Charlotte/Sasha consistently out on main event matches, and it's awesome to see two women capable of doing that on multiple occasions and raising the bar in many respects each time.
Charlotte, in particular, is cementing herself as the best WWE female wrestler ever, in my opinion. And she also excels as a very successful heel on the mic, while earning the respect of the audience due to her in-ring abilities.

I will cry tears of joy if Bliss gets the title after doing the twisted bliss thru a table.
Please Vince make it happen

Please Vince make it happen Close! She deserved this one. Aside from James Ellsworth and maybe Heath Slater, Alexa Bliss has been the one to most benefit from the brand split.

 Re: Wrestling (WWE, TNA, ROH)
A pretty unbalanced TLC, I thought. Some of the roster really pulled through (AJ/Ambrose, Corbin/Calisto), while others (Nikki/Carmella, Bray, Orton/Rhyno, Slater) were average at best. Becky/Alexa and Miz/Ziggler were decent.
Excellent main event, however, even with the Ellsworth heel turn at the end. Definitely one of the best main events of the year. That 450 splash through the table was insane.
