 Re: 2008 NFL Discussion
Oaklands offense is looking pretty damn sharp against the starting Titans defense.

Michael Turner is lighting Indy up.
Hart is still solid.

On Colt, he was a great college quarterback with an outstnding offense/set of wide receivers. Then he/his team got murdered when they played in the bowl game againist a high seed. They sure were no Boise State from the year before. He got drafted late after a number of other QB as they said he was too small and throw a ball from the side. BUT I HEARD HE WAS GREAT IN THE FIRST PRE-SEASON GAME HE PLAYED IN. AND REMEMBER DAN MARINO - HE WAS DRAFTED AFTER 4 OTHER QB'S IN HIS DRAFT YEAR AND TURNED OUT TO BE THE BEST ONE OF THE BUNCH. I AM NOT EXPECTING COLT TO BE THE BEST ONE OF THE BUNCH BUT I EXPECT HIM TO BE BETTER THAN THEY PROJECTED.

 Re: 2008 NFL Discussion
I've always liked Colt. Just because his team wasn't good against GOOD teams, doesn't mean he was going to be bad.
I would start him over Campbell.

 Re: 2008 NFL Discussion
Id start Brennan if I didnt really like Campbell, but I do. Brennan prob. is he has awea karm but good accuracy; at hawaii those hawaiians he had blocking for him were literally impregnable. In the NFL hell be under a lot more pressure.
Btw he was what, a 6th round (?) pick? Expectations are not high for him.

 Re: 2008 NFL Discussion
MLB - Tim McCarver & Tony Gwynn NBA - Doris Burke NHL - I'm sure there's someone.
And now the NFL has two - Marshall Faulk & Sterling Sharpe
These two are truly the worst color commentators I've heard while watching a football game. I'd understand their concern for the Patriots defense if this were a regular season game, or if say the regular starters were still in the ball game, but not when there are a bunch of nobody's on the field. And lets forget about the fact that the offensive line was called one of the best ever before the Super Bowl. My favorite thing was one of them said that the defense were not playing "the Patriot way" right now. Well of course they're aren't. Almost everyone on the field isn't going to be on the team or playing regularly come three weeks or so.
It's a fucking preseason game guys. Give it a rest.

 Re: 2008 NFL Discussion
O'Connell is making a strong case for backup right now. He's at least moving the offense down the field.

 Re: 2008 NFL Discussion
Was that fucking amateur hour? My god, I dont care abotu last year, the offensive line was HORRIBLE! HORRIBLE! Maroney was hit in the backfield on 6 of his 7 carries! It was UGLY. Mankins is getting blown off the damn line!. And damn, Cassel SUCKS. The lone over-preformers was chad jackson for once.

 Re: 2008 NFL Discussion
Anyone but Matt Cassell should be the Patriots backup quarterback. He has just been simply awful in these games.

 Re: 2008 NFL Discussion
And he was a bitch to boot 1st person I talked to was DESEAN JACKSON who was out there early returning punts wuith some other guy; hes the one who said most teams dont allow them to take pics of sign autographs before the game but they down for chat. He seemed cool and had a pretty good game against is He was the only eagle I saw, I couldnt find McNabb or Westbrook (or asanta, to strangle him ) Of the Pats, out of the first group that took the field (the running backs n fullbacks with some guys doing pass drills), Maroney was the only one who came over to say whats up though he said he only did cause I put my camera away, they get in trouble for doing photos before the game, and Morris completely ignored me and party I was with (on invite by Jonathan Kraft himself ) as well as the others there. Then came the recievers; first one I talked too was named C.J. JONES who I had never heard of but he was very friendly; than MOSS was stretching literally 2 FEET INFRONT OF ME, I have a hilarious video or him dancing on my cell phone (so if uh, anybody can tell me how to get it online... ) and he basically said the same thing DeSean did, though he did leave stretching and came over to us to give my 6 year old cuz a high five which made his day. Btw ELLIS HOBBS was also a duesche; he glared at just about anybody on the sidelines and dint look to happy when I told him to watch out for those stop n goes in the endzone against the Giants...

 Re: 2008 NFL Discussion
I guarantee the Giants:
1. Don't make the playoffs 2. Don't win more than 9 games. 3. Beat the Patriots once in the next 365 days.
I guarantee the Patriots:
1. Make it to the Super Bowl.

I guarantee the Patriots:
1. Make it to the Super Bowl. and your 1,2,3 don't even make sense - as the giants will get to the playoffs to beat the Pats. Anyway, tough talk after the Giants lost maybe the best defensive NFL player. Guess with him they would have won 12 games and then swept through the playoffs again PS. Maybe Strahan will return again to kick Brady's ass some more. Also even without those 2, the Giants still will lead the NFL in sacks PS2. Maybe then it will be Farve and the Jets to end the Pats.

No, those have been my predictions. With or without Osi.
Oh and look... the Giants play the Patriots this weekend! Oh look... Tom Brady likely won't play, meaning... a win for the Giants... WHOOP DEE DOO!
